These are the ride closures at the Walt Disney World Resort for the month of November 2025. This includes the four theme parks, which are Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios. These closures are always subject to change and more can be added to the lineup at any time. Disney does not always give a lot of notice on closures before they start or end. It’s good to know about these closures before you go to Disney World on your vacation so you can plan around them.
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure
The latest November closure announced is for Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, located in the France Pavilion in EPCOT park. This ride will be closed from November 10th through 13th. It is a 3D ride currently, but when it reopens it will become a 2D ride. This is a big change for the ride that fans were not expecting. This ride is trackless and one of the newest in Disney World having opened on October 1, 2021.
Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin
Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin is a fun and interactive attraction in Tomorrowland in Magic Kingdom. It features Buzz Lightyear and his enemy Zurg from the Pixar Toy Story movies. This ride is supposed to reopen sometime in 2026, but Disney has not given a date yet. The ride is getting new scenes, new ride vehicles, and new blasters put in. It is going to feel so fresh and nice when it reopens one day.
Kali River Rapids
Kali River Rapids is a river rapids ride in Animal Kingdom park. It’s thrilling and sure to leave you pretty soaked. This ride closed in October for maintenance and will be reopening sometime in December of 2025. Disney has not given an official date for the reopening of this water ride yet.
Walt Disney World Railroad Frontierland Station
The Walt Disney World Railroad is still open and running, but only as a shuttle between Main Street, USA and Fantasyland. The Frontierland station of the ride is currently closed and has been since July 7, 2025. That is also when the Rivers of America closed permanently. This whole area is going to become Piston Peak National Park, which is a Pixar Cars themed land that will feature two new attractions. One will be thrilling and intense, while the other will be more family friendly. Are you excited for the new Pixar Cars land at Magic Kingdom?
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is a fun and popular roller coaster in Frontierland in Magic Kingdom park. This ride closed in January of 2025 to undergo a major refurbishment with some big changes. It received an entire new track, is getting some magical updates added to the rainbow caverns lift scene, and more. This ride is set to reopen sometime in 2026, but the date of the reopening remains unknown for now. Are you excited to see the changes to the ride when it reopens?
Mickey’s PhilharMagic
Mickey’s PhilharMagic is a show attraction in Magic Kingdom park. It will be closed from November 1st through 22nd, then reopen again on November 23rd, just before Thanksgiving. This is a fun 3D concert show that is great for people of all ages. It is 12 minutes long and stars everyone’s favorite duck, Donald Duck. This is a great place to relax and rest your feet, or get out of the heat or rain.
Blizzard Beach
Blizzard Beach is one of two Walt Disney World water parks. The other one is Typhoon Lagoon. For the month of November, Blizzard Beach will be closed and Typhoon Lagoon will be open. This is typical for one water park to be open and for the other to be closed for maintenance. It is likely that when Blizzard Beach does reopen that Typhoon Lagoon will close for a few months. Upcoming Closures
Those are the closures for November, but looking ahead we already know about some closures that are coming up soon. Rock n Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith is going to close permanently sometime in 2026, then reopen in the summer of 2026 with Muppets featuring Electric Mayhem. Read about changes coming to Disney World rides here. Also, all of DinoLand USA in Animal Kingdom will be closing on February 2, 2026. This area is changing to a Tropical Americas Land called Pueblo Esperanza. It will have an Encanto attraction, an Indiana Jones ride, an animal carousel, and more in it.
