These are the main things Disney Cruise Line does better than other cruise lines. A Disney Cruise vacation is much more expensive than other cruise lines, causing people to wonder if they’re worth it and if they’re really better. I’ve sailed on many cruise lines and Disney always stays in the top spot for me, but I really love Disney.
Rotational Dining
Disney Cruise ships each have three main dining rooms that guests rotate between each night. Most other cruise ships have one dining room that you go to every night. The rotational dining is so fun because you get to experience a different themed dining room for each dinner.
Immersive Theming
The Disney Cruise ships are themed to the max. They have characters on the bow, Disney statues in the atriums, Disney themed staterooms, and more. Some ships have really nice staterooms that are themed from Disney movies.
Above and Beyond Service
The service you receive from the crew members on Disney ships in unmatched. They will go above and beyond for you, memorize your names very quickly, and are so helpful with dietary restrictions. In the morning your stateroom attendant will quickly come to get your room ready for the day, then while you’re at dinner they will turn it down for bedtime and leave a cool towel animal for you to see.
Split Bathrooms
The bathrooms in Disney Cruise staterooms are split. You have one room with a toilet and sink and another bathroom with the shower. This makes it so nice for people to get ready in the morning because people can shower while other people use the other bathroom to do their hair or anything else in that room.
Castaway Cay

Kids Clubs
Disney ships have amazing and immersive kids clubs for kids of different age ranges. You can drop your kids off at them or just take them to the open houses so they can experience them with you there.
Pirate Night
Pirate Night is a deck party and dinner party on select sailings. This is a highlight of Disney Cruises for many guests. They will have a big deck show full of Disney characters and even fireworks.
Free Soft Drinks
Soft drinks, coffee, and tea are all included in your cruise and you can find them at different beverage stations throughout the ships. You can also get these drinks at table-service meals. A lot of cruise lines charge you for a beverage package to have soda on the ship.
Broadway Level Shows
A lot of cruises have live-entertainment and shows, but they do not compare to the Broadway style Disney shows aboard Disney Cruise line. This includes “The Tale of Moana” on the Disney Treasure right now.
Characters
Disney Cruises are full of Disney characters that you can meet. Check the daily schedules for the times and locations of each character. You can also see them sometimes at dinner and at the deck parties.
Character Themed Bedding
