If you’re anything like me, you don’t typically keep receipts and you throw them away immediately. I mean, who wants to carry receipts around and keep track of them all the time? I sure don’t!
When you’re at Disney parks though, you really need to keep your receipts. Maybe not the whole day depending on what you bought, but at least for a little bit.

It is not 100% guaranteed, but if you break or drop something, oftentimes showing your receipt to a Disney Cast Member will get you a replacement.
So if your kid’s new Disney toy breaks, you can try taking it back to the gift shop you bought it from and see if they’ll let you get a new one.

If you drop your ice cream cone, popcorn, meal, or drink, take your receipt back to the restaurant. Explain to the cast member what happens and chances are good that they will replace it for you at no cost.
If your balloon pops, take it back to a balloon cart with your receipt. Your little one doesn’t need a flat balloon and those things sure aren’t cheap.
This can save you from big meltdowns from your kids and it will make your Disneyland or Disney World trip much more magical to have a replacement item.
This little receipt trick works for things on the day that you bought them. Definitely don’t be trying to take back a balloon that’s weeks old. But if it happened the day you bought it, you should be able to get a new one without a problem.
It’s always worth a shot to ask and see if cast members will help you out! it definitely depends on the cast member though, so this is not a guarantee.
