1. Snow White

Snow White was the very first Disney princess, so you definitely can’t leave her out when you list the names of all of the Disney princesses.

She is from the movie Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs that came out in 1937. The movie is based off of a Brother’s Grimm fairytale.

The Evil Queen uses her magic mirror and finds out the Snow White is the fairest of them all. She’s very jealous and poisons Snow White with an apple that puts her in a deep sleep.

The only way to break it is with a kiss from a prince. Other notable characters in this movie are Prince Charming and the Seven Dwarfs.

Cinderella’s Fairy Godmother comes to the rescue and helps her get to the ball, but she must be home by midnight.

In a rush to get home, she loses her glass slipper at the ball. Prince Charming sets out on a mission to find who the glass slipper belongs to because that is his true love.

Her step sisters’ names are Drizella and Anastasia.

3. Aurora

Aurora is the third Disney princess, coming from the movie Sleeping Beauty which came out in 1959.

Maleficent puts a curse on Sleeping Beauty so that she will die on her 16th birthday. To protect her, her parents send her to live in the woods with fairies names Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather.

Merryweather is able to change the curse so that instead of dying, she is sent into a deep sleep and must be kissed by a prince to wake up.

Aurora’s name was changed to Briar Rose by the fairies.
Aurora does not talk much in the movie and only has 18 lines.

4. Ariel

Ariel is from the movie The Little Mermaid that came out in 1989. She is my favorite Disney princess and the first one I think of when I try to remember the names of all the Disney princesses!

Ariel is very interested in humans and how they live on land. One time she goes to the surface of the water, sees a handsome prince, and falls in love with him.

She gives Ursula her voice in exchange for becoming human. She has to make Prince Eric fall in love within 3 days or else Ursula will keep her captive.

Other main characters in this movie are her dad King Triton, Flounder the fish, Sebastian the crab, and Grimsby.

Ariel is the only Disney princess with red hair. I’m a fellow redhead too! She was going to be blonde though.
Ariel has six sisters. Their names are Attina, Alana, Adella, Aquata, Arista, and Adrina.
She is 16 years old.
Her face was based on Alyssa Milano’s.
There is a scene in the beginning of the movie where you can see Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, and Kermit The Frog.

5. Belle

Belle is from the movie Beauty And The Beast. It came out in 1991.

Belle becomes a prisoner of the beast. He was a prince who was cursed into being the beast until he can love and be loved.

This has to happen before the last petal falls off a rose, making the curse permanent.

He goes to the Cave Of Wonders and gets three wishes from a Genie. He uses one to become a prince so he can win Princess Jasmine’s heart.

This movie also has the villain Jafar, Jasmine’s dad Sultan, the tiger Rajah, the monkey Abu, and a bird named Iago.

Jasmine is not the main character in the movie, Aladdin is.

7. Pocahontas

Pocahontas is from the movie Pocahontas. It came out in 1995. I remember going to the drive-in movies to see this for my sister’s birthday, which is the day the movie was released!

Pocahontas is a Native American and she meets a European man named John Smith. They like each other, but her father, Chief Powhatan, does not approve.

John’s fellow men want to rob the Native American’s of their gold and it causes problems between their two groups.

Mulan is the princess in the movie Mulan that came out in 1998. Mulan’s father is going to be drafted into the Chinese military since the Hun Army is invading China.
