Disney Jr. Dance Party is one of the most fun things for kids to do in California Adventure park. It’s in the Disney Theater and kids get to see Disney Jr. characters like Vampirina, Roadster Racers Mickey, and Minnie Mouse.
Meet Cars Characters
In Cars Land you can meet characters from the Pixar Cars movies. You can find Lightning McQueen, Mater, and Red the firetruck.
Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue
Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue is a really cute and fun ride through Monstropolis where you see different scenes from the movie like the sushi restaurant and Sulley and Mike traveling on doors.
Redwood Creek Challenge Trail
Redwood Creek Challenge Trail is the best place in California Adventure for kids to get their wiggles out. Here they can do ropes courses, rock climbing, go down slides, and meet Chip n Dale.
Anna & Elsa’s Royal Welcome

The Little Mermaid ~ Ariel’s Undersea Adventure
The Little Mermaid ~ Ariel’s Undersea Adventure is a ride based on the movie The Little Mermaid. It’s really cute and fun to sing along to all the songs from the movie. This ride does not have a height requirement, so babies and kids of any height can ride it.
Eat At Flo’s V8 Cafe
Flo’s V8 Cafe is a quick-service restaurant in Cars Land. It looks just like Flo’s restaurant in the Cars movie. It has a ton of seating, a lot of which is even indoors. The kids menu has burgers, chicken tenders, and mac n cheese. They also have really good shakes with “road gravel” aka crushed up Oreos on top.
Turtle Talk With Crush
Turtle Talk With Crush is in the Animation Building in Hollywood Land. It’s an interactive show with Crush, the turtle from Finding Nemo.
Meet Toy Story Characters
On Pixar Pier near the attraction Toy Story Midway Mania you can meet different Toy Story characters like Woody, Bo Peep, Buzz Lightyear, and Jessie the cowgirl. Check the Disneyland app for characters and times.
Animation Academy
Animation Academy is another thing you can do in the Animation Building. They have free drawing lessons of Disney characters. If your kids are too young to do this, you can request coloring pages for them to color while you draw. This is a really unique thing to do in Disneyland. Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind
Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind is an Inside Out themed spinning ride. It’s located on Pixar Pier near Pixar Pal-A-Round. This is the perfect ride to go on if you have an Inside Out loving kid.
Jessie’s Critter Carousel
Jessie’s Critter Carousel is another kid friendly attraction in California Adventure. It’s also on Pixar Pier, near Incredicoaster and Toy Story Midway Mania. It’s a classic merry-go-round ride that’s fun for kids of all ages.
