The Disneyland Resort is getting ready to start celebrating its 70th anniversary starting in May. They are still working to get a few things ready for it, which means there will be some closures before it. These are all of the closures at Disneyland in April 2025.
It’s A Small World
It’s A Small World has been closed since January. It closed so they could take down the Christmas overlay from the ride, but they recently announced another thing they were working on. Disney added Miguel and Dante from Coco to the Mexico section of the ride. It will be reopening on April 25th.
Indiana Jones Adventure
Indiana Jones Adventure closed in March for refurbishment. Guests have reported that a lot of features on the ride, like the boulder, haven’t worked for a while, so it is assumed they are fixing a few things like that. This Adventureland ride will be reopening on April 25th.
Matterhorn Bobsleds
Matterhorn Bobsleds in Fantasyland will be closing April 28th for refurbishment. It does not currently have a reopening date.
Enchanted Tiki Room
The Enchanted Tiki Room in Adventureland will also close on April 28th. It it unknown when it will reopen. Hopefully soon because this is a great place to cool off on a warm day.
Pixie Hollow
Pixie Hollow is where you can meet Tinker Bell and her fairy friends in Disneyland. It closed last September and has no reopening date that has been announced yet.
Great Moments With Mr. Lincoln
Great Moments With Mr. Lincoln is a show on Main Street that closed a little while ago. It is being redone into a new show about Walt Disney that will open on July 17th, which is Disneyland’s birthday. The new show will be called Walt Disney – A Magical Life.
Sorcerer’s Workshop
Sorcerer’s Workshop in California Adventure will close on April 28th. The reason for the closure is maintenance. Disneyland has not announced when it will open again.
Anna & Elsa’s Royal Welcome
Anna & Elsa’s Royal Welcome is a meet n greet area in the Animation Building where you can meet Anna and Elsa from Frozen. It is closing on April 28th for refurbishment, but we do not know when it will open again.
Soarin’
Soarin’ in California Adventure is closing on April 28th to be refurbished. An opening date has not been announced yet.
Storyteller’s Cafe
Storyteller’s Cafe is currently closed without a reopening date. This is a restaurant in The Grand Californian Hotel that has character dining. Mickey’s Tales of Adventure Breakfast Buffet and Brunch has been relocated to the Trillium Room for now.
Grand Californian Theme Park Entrance
The Grand Californian Hotel has its own park entrance to California Adventure park. This entrance is currently closed so they can make some updates to it. This is not ideal for guests of the hotel since this entrance makes it very quick and convenient for them to get to the parks.
Redwood Creek Challenge Trail
Redwood Creek Challenge Trail in California Adventure will be undergoing refurbishment from March 24 through April 17th.
Napa Rose
Napa Rose is a restaurant in the Grand Californian Hotel. This is where the Disney Princess Breakfast Adventure is. It will be closing temporarily for refurbishment starting on April 5th. The princess breakfast will be offered at a different restaurant in the hotel during this time.
Pixar Place Hotel Pool Deck
The pool deck at Pixar Place Hotel closed in March for it to be refurbished. It’s located on the 3rd floor of the hotel and includes several pools and a slide. The deck opens on some nights for firework viewing, but the pools are not open. See all of the Disney World closures for April 2025 here.
