If you have a vacation planned to the Disneyland Resort in May, then it’s time to start planning a lot of it out. These are the California Adventure and Disneyland ride closures for May 2025. It’s good to know which rides will be open and closed so you do not get excited about a ride only to find out it’s closed while you’re there.
Matterhorn Bobsleds
Matterhorn Bobsleds is closing April 28th and does not have a reopening date. It will be closed for at least some of May, but possibly the whole month. This is a roller coaster in Disneyland.
It’s A Small World
It’s A Small World will be closed for the first part of May, then reopen on May 9th. It has been closed since mid-January. When it opens it will have characters from Coco in it for the first time.
Mad Tea Party
Mad Tea Party will have a quick closure that will only be May 5th and May 6th. This is the teacups ride in Fantasyland in Disneyland.
Chip ‘n’ Dale’s GADGETcoaster
Chip ‘n’ Dale’s GADGETcoaster is closing on May 19th and it is unknown when it will reopen. This short roller coaster is in Toontown in Disneyland.
King Arthur Carrousel
King Arthur Carrousel is the merry-go-round in Fantasyland. It will be closed for a short time on May 7th and May 8th.
Soarin’
Soarin’ in California Adventure will have a super quick closure from April 28th to May 1st. The ride will be back up and running on May 2nd. See all of the Disneyland closures for May here, including things at the parks and the hotels.
