Walt Disney World has been working on updating some of their rides and they’re also closing some to make room for new ones. These are all of the Disney World ride closures for April 2025. If you’re vacationing there in April, then check these dates to see what will be closed while you’re there.
Astro Orbiter

Astro Orbiter has been closed for a few months and is expected to remain closed until sometime later this summer. This spinning ride is located in Tomorrowland in Magic Kingdom.
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad will be closed all year. It closed in January for an extensive refurbishment and is not expected to open until at least January 2026.
Test Track

Test Track is an EPCOT attraction. It has been closed since last June and is having a lot of work done to it. It does not have a reopening date, but is expected to reopen later in 2025.
Dumbo The Flying Elephant Playground

The ride Dumbo the Flying Elephant is open, but the playground that is in the queue for the ride is currently closed. It should be opening sometime this spring, but the exact date is unknown.
It’s Tough To Be A Bug

It’s Tough To Be A Bug is an attraction in Animal Kingdom park. It closed permanently in March, so April is the first full month you cannot go on this. It closed to make room for a new Tropical Americas land coming to Animal Kingdom that will have some exciting rides. See all of the new rides coming here.
Hall Of Presidents

Hall of Presidents in Magic Kingdom is closed right now and expected to remain closed through April. It does not have a reopening date.
Typhoon Lagoon

Typhoon Lagoon is one of the two Disney World water parks. It will be closed for all of April, then reopen on May 1st. The other water park, Blizzard Beach, is open in April, then closing on May 1st. See other Disney World closures here.
