If you have an upcoming trip to Disneyland, then you’ll want to be aware of a few things. These are the changes coming to Disneyland in April 2025. This includes festivals, closures, special events going on, and more.
Star Wars Nite Starts
Star Wars Nite starts in Disneyland on April 8th. Disneyland park will close at 8pm on the nights of the events. The days for it are April 8, 10, 22, 24, and 29th.
Season of the Force
Season of the Force will be going all month long in April. This is the Star Wars Celebration at Disneyland, mainly in Galaxy’s Edge. You can expect to make Star Wars headbands, eat special menu items, meet Luke Skywalker, and more.
Spring Dining At Goofy’s Kitchen
Springtime dining is coming to Goofy’s Kitchen on April 3rd. This is for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You will need a reservation. This character dining restaurant is located in the Disneyland Hotel.
Food & Wine Festival Ends
The California Adventure Food & Wine Festival is ending April 21st. So if you’re wanting to go to this event, make sure you get there by the 21st.
New Characters on It’s A Small World
It’s A Small World has been closed since January, but it reopens on April 25th. It will have Dante and Miguel from the Pixar movie Coco in it.
Easter
Easter is on Sunday April 20th this year. You can expect to see some Easter decor throughout the parks, Easter character dining, and more.
Eggstravaganza
Eggstravaganza is back at the Disneyland Resort until April 21st, the day after Easter. This is like an egg scavenger hunt. You pay $9.99 for a map and stickers, then return it to redeem your prize after you find all the eggs.
Ride Closures
Ride closures for April include Matterhorn Bobsleds, Soarin’, and more. You can see dates and read all about the closures here.
Other Disneyland Closures
There are other things closed at Disneyland this month that are not rides. This includes the Enchanted Tiki Room, Pixie Hollow, Anna & Elsa’s Royal Welcome, Sorcerer’s Workshop, and more. See more closures and the closure dates here.
Indiana Jones Adventure Is Reopening
Indiana Jones Adventure closed in March for some maintenance. It now has a reopening date of April 25th.
Spring Break Crowds
You can expect to see spring break crowds in both parks for the first few weeks of April. Most people do not have spring break after Easter though.
Grand Californian Park Entrance Is Closed
The entrance to California Adventure park from the Grand Californian Hotel is closed and being refurbished. It should open mid-May, but the reopening date has not been announced yet.
Hop Into Easter At Storytellers Cafe
On Easter, Sunday April 20th, you can go to special Easter dining at Storyteller’s Cafe in the Grand Californian Hotel. This is character dining and the characters should be in spring or Easter inspired outfits. Brunch is 7am to 1pm and dinner is 1:30pm to 9pm.
