If you’re visiting Disney World in April, there are some things you should know about before going so you can better plan your vacation. These are the changes coming to Disney World in April 2025.
Blizzard Beach 30th Anniversary

Blizzard Beach’s 30th anniversary celebration starts on April 1st. For the whole month of April they will have Mickey and Minnie in winter outfits, dance parties, anniversary menu items, and more.
runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend

runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend is April 3rd through 6th. They will have races with distances of 5k, 10k, and 10 miles. Racers will have the opportunity to meet special characters at the event.
Easter

Disney World does not go all out for Easter, but they do a few things. You’ll see some decor in Magic Kingdom and EPCOT, along with some special foods and drinks.
Eggstravaganza At EPCOT

Eggstravaganza is an Easter themed scavenger hunt where you find certain Easter eggs throughout EPCOT. You’ll purchase a map and stickers, then when you find all of the eggs you’ll return it for a prize.
Easter Displays in the Lobbies

Some of the Disney World Resort hotels have Easter displays in the lobbies. The hotels that do this are The Grand Floridian, The Contemporary Resort on the 4th floor, Disney’s Beach Club, and Disney’s Yacht Club. Most of them are available April 1-20th.
Flower & Garden Festival

EPCOT’s Flower & Garden Festival will be running all month in April. It goes till June 2nd. You can see topiaries, eat special event foods, and more.
Disney After Hours Events

Magic Kingdom has an after hours event on April 7th and Hollywood Studios has one on April 1st. This means those park will close early on those nights and you will need an after hours ticket to stay in.
Ride Closures

Ride closures this month include Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Test Track, and more. See dates and all of the Disney World ride closures here.
Other Closures

Closures that are not rides include Typhoon Lagoon water park, some of the rooms and pools at the resorts and more. Learn the closure dates and all about what’s closed here.
Spring Break Crowds

You can expect to see increased crowds in the parks between now and Easter due to spring break. Most people do not have spring break after Easter, so these crowds should decrease starting April 21st.
