Dark rides are some of the favorites amongst Disney fans. They’re indoors, are dark, and tell a story, usually from Disney movies. These are the dark rides at Disneyland that you’ll want to ride next time you take a Disneyland vacation.
Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride

Haunted Mansion
Haunted Mansion is an iconic dark ride at Disneyland. This one can be too spooky for little ones, but it’s a really fun one.
Peter Pan’s Flight

Snow White’s Enchanted Wish
Snow White’s Enchanted Wish is a dark ride in Fantasyland that tells the story of Snow White. It’s a beautiful ride. It used to be Snow White’s Scary Adventures, but was redone to this ride that is so pretty with gemstones and other additions.
Pinocchio’s Daring Journey
Pinocchio’s Daring Journey is another Fantasyland dark ride. It tells the story of the Pinocchio movie. It’s a fun one for kids to go on.
Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway
Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway is a dark ride in Toontown that is trackless and very unique. It’s one of the newest rides at Disneyland since it opened in 2023.
Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue
Monster’s, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue is a dark ride in California Adventure. There aren’t many dark rides in this park. It’s a really cute and fun one based on the Monsters, Inc. movie.
Alice in Wonderland

The Many Adventures of Winnie The Pooh
The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh is in Critter Country in Disneyland. It’s a dark ride with all your favorite characters from Winnie the Pooh plus some Heffalumps and Woozles.

Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin is in Toontown in Disneyland. This is a ride that a lot of guests think needs to be updated.
The Little Mermaid ~ Ariel’s Undersea Adventure
The Little Mermaid ~ Ariel’s Undersea Adventure is the other dark ride in California Adventure. You board a clamshell and go through different scenes from The Little Mermaid movie and hear all of the best songs from it.
