10 Changes Coming To Disney World In March 2025

Published by Elizabeth Morgan on February 18, 2025

If you’re going to Walt Disney World in Florida soon, then it’s time to start planning for your trip and know what’s going on in the parks. These are the changes coming to Disney World in March 2025.

EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival starts on March 5th and goes till June 2nd. This is a long festival that is a favorite for many Disney World goers. There will be topiaries, gardens, concerts, special foods, and more.

ESPN Wide World of Sports events will be going on at Disney World throughout March. This typically causes higher crowds at the parks and at Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort.

St. Patrick’s Day

Disney World does not go all out for St. Patrick’s Day, but there will be some foods and decorations for it.

There are a lot of ride closures in Disney World in March. They include Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Astro Orbiter, Hall of Presidents, Gran Fiesta Tour, Kali River Rapids, and Test Track. Get the dates of the closures and more info here.

Typhoon Lagoon Is Closed

Typhoon Lagoon is closed and the reopening date of it is unknown. If you’re wanting to go to a Disney water park, you’ll have to go to Blizzard Beach instead.

Spring Break Crowds

You can expect to see increased crowds at all of the Disney World parks in March and April because a lot of people go on vacations there for spring break.

Higher Prices

Spring break also, unfortunately, means higher prices for theme park tickets. Tickets are cheaper in the off-season, and March and April do not fall into that.

It’s Tough To Be A Bug Permanently Closing

It’s Tough To Be A Bug in Animal Kingdom will be permanently closing on March 17th, so go see it by March 16th if you want to see it one last time.

Virtual Queue Changes

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind will no longer be using virtual queues for you to go on these attractions.

After Hours Events
