If you have a Disney World trip planned in March, then it’s time to start looking at what things are going on that will affect your vacation. These are the closures at Disney World in March 2025.
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad in Magic Kingdom closed in January for an extensive refurbishment. It is expected to reopen sometime in 2026.
Astro Orbiter
Astro Orbiter closed for refurbishment earlier this year. It should be opening sometime later this summer. It is unclear exactly what they’re doing to the ride.
Hall of Presidents
Hall of Presidents in Magic Kingdom closed to January and it does not have a reopening date, but is expected to reopen sometime later in 2025.
Typhoon Lagoon
Typhoon Lagoon is one of the two Disney World water parks. It’s been closed since November and it is unknown when it will open back up again. Blizzard Beach, the other water park, is still open though.
Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros
Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros is currently closed, but will reopen in EPCOT on March 15th. So if you’re there on the 15th or after, then you’ll be able to enjoy this attraction.
Kali River Rapids
Kali River Rapids in Animal Kingdom has been closed since January. It should reopen sometime in March, but a reopening date has not been announced. It will likely be closed for at least some of the month of March. Disneyland’s river rapids ride is also closed. See the list of Disneyland closures for March 2025 here.
Test Track
Test Track in EPCOT will be closed for all of March. It closed last summer and should open sometime this summer or later in 2025. It is undergoing a big refurbishment.
The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure
The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure should be opening in Hollywood Studios in the summer of 2025. It is replacing the show Voyage of the Little Mermaid.
It’s Tough To Be A Bug
It’s Tough To Be A Bug is closing permanently on March 17th. This winter it will be replaced by a new show called Zootopia: Better Zoogether!
Resort Closures
Pool closures at the Disney World resorts include Stormalong Bay at Disney’s Yacht Club and Fantasia Pool at Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort. There are also some room closures at Port Orleans French Quarter, Bay Lake Tower at the Contemporary Resort, and Disney’s Yacht Club Resort.
