11 Tips For Disneyland in November 2025

Published by Elizabeth Morgan on October 27, 2025

These are all the tips you need for Disneyland in November 2025. Knowing these tips will help you better plan your vacation and help it go smoother. This includes info for parades, fireworks, closures and more. Are you going to Disneyland or California Adventure in November? It will be beautiful for the Christmas season!

The Holiday Season

The holiday season, or Christmas season, starts at The Disneyland Resort on Friday November 14th. This includes a huge Christmas tree and decor on Main Street, lights and decor on the castle, Christmas ride overlays, and so much more. Christmas at Disneyland is extra magical. If you’ve never been during the Christmas season, then you should definitely add it to your bucket list and try to get next year during the holidays.

Crowds

Overall, crowds should be pretty low for the month of November based on how they have been in past years. You can expect higher crowds on Friday November 14th since it is the first day of the holiday season and many people will want to be there to experience it right away. There will also be increased crowds the week of Thanksgiving since many people take time off work and school for the holiday. Thanksgiving day and the weekend following will likely be the most crowded.

Weather

The weather at Disneyland in November starts to cool off more than in October. You will want to bring a sweatshirt or light jacket to wear to the parks in the mornings and evenings. You should always check the weather before your trip to pack properly. We always suggest that you bring a poncho in case it rains. This way you’ll be prepared for it and won’t need to overspend on a poncho in the parks since you can get them for much cheaper before your trip. Read about fun things to do at Disneyland when it’s raining here.

Closures

Unfortunately, there are some closures at Disneyland in November that are good to know about. The rides that are expected to be closed all month are Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Storybook Land Canal Boats, and Casey Jr. Circus Train. It’s A Small World will close on October 31st and reopen on November 14th as It’s A Small World Holiday. Redwood Creek Challenge Trail will close on November 1st and reopen on November 14th as Redwood Creek Challenge Trail. The walkway from Avengers Campus to Cars Land is currently closed and so is the restaurant Napa Rose in the Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. Read more info on the Disneyland November closures here.

Mobile Order Popular Holiday Foods

A tip I always have is to mobile order your food. This makes your Disneyland vacation easier because you do not spend time waiting in line for your food and drinks. You will use the Disneyland app to look at the restaurants, select the one you want, choose a time, and place your mobile order. You will tell the app when you are at the restaurant, then they will tell you when and where to pickup your order. You can even do this in the morning before you are even in the park for the day. I highly recommend mobile ordering seasonal holiday foods, especially ones that are popular and will sell out fast for the day. This definitely applies to the super cute Mickey Gingerbread cookies. You will likely be able to get them and mobile order them from Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe on Main Street, USA in Disneyland.

Parades

There are two parades that you can expect to see throughout the month of November 2025. They will not be running during the same days though. The Paint the Night Parade will run every night from November 1st through November 9th. This is a nighttime parade. After November 9th, it will be taking a break for the holiday season. It is expected to come back sometime in 2026 since it is part of the Disneyland 70th Celebration. A Christmas Fantasy Parade will start on November 14th and run daily through the holiday season which ends in the beginning of January. This Christmas parade is daily at 3pm and 5:15pm.

Fireworks and Projections

Disneyland park does projections on the castle every night and certain nights also have fireworks. The show Wondrous Journeys is coming back on November 1st and will run nightly through November 13th. There will be projections every night and the addition of fireworks on November 1st, 2nd, 7th, 8th, and 9th. The holiday fireworks show Believe…in Holiday Magic will be every night starting on November 14th through the end of the holiday season. Fireworks will be every night with this show. This show starts every night at 9:30pm.

Disneyland Closing Earlier

California Adventure park will close at 9pm or 10pm each night. Check the park hours calendar to see the hours for the dates that you will be there.

Thanksgiving Tips

Thanksgiving Day is Thursday November 27th this year. The crowds will be much higher this day and through the weekend following it. There are some special character dining meals that are offered only on Thanksgiving Day. Storytellers Cafe in the Grand Californian Hotel & Spa is doing Thanksgiving Day Brunch and Dinner. Brunch is 7am to 1pm and dinner is 1:30pm to 9pm. There will be some special foods like holiday pies, holiday desserts, roasted turkey, and braised beef brisket. Goofy’s Kitchen is doing A Bountiful Thanksgiving Day Meal Awaits on November 27th. There will be Thanksgiving foods like Mickey waffles with pumpkin icing, pumpkin toast, cranberry and sausage stuffing, herb-marinated turkey breast, and more.

Experience Christmas in Radiator Springs

Christmas in Radiator Springs will start in Cars Land in California Adventure park on November 14th with the rest of the holiday season at Disneyland. There will be Christmas trees decorated with hub caps, Christmas garland, Mater in a Santa hat, and more. Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters will transform into Luigi’s Joy to the Whirl. Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree will transform into Mater’s Jingle Jamboree. The Christmas ride overlays are really fun and festive.

Festival of the Holidays
