These are all of the California Adventure and Disneyland closures for November 2025. Closures can be disappointing, but they are necessary to keep the parks and rides updated. This keeps them looking fresh and running safely. It’s nice to know the closures before your vacation so you can plan around them.
It’s A Small World
It’s A Small World in Fantasyland will be closed starting October 31st. It will reopen on November 14th, which is the day that the holiday season officially starts at Disneyland. This closure is so Disneyland can change the ride from the classic version to the Christmas version, which is called It’s A Small World Holiday.
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is currently closed with no reopening date. It closed at the beginning of September and will hopefully have a reopening date soon. This is a fun roller coaster in Frontierland in Disneyland.
Storybook Land Canal Boats
Storybook Land Canal Boats closed over the summer and Disneyland just announced that it will reopen sometime this winter with a new addition of Rapunzel’s Tower. Fans are so excited for the Tangled update to this cute boat ride.
Casey Jr. Circus Train
Casey Jr. Circus Train also closed over the summer. A reopening date has not been announced, but it will likely open around the time that Storybook Land Canal Boats opens this winter.
Redwood Creek Challenge Trail
Redwood Creek Challenge Trail will be closed November 1st through 13th and reopen on November 14th. This closure comes as they change the area from Villains Grove to Redwood Creek Challenge Trail Welcomes Santa for the Christmas season.
Path From Cars Land to Avengers Campus
The path from Avengers Campus to Cars Land is still closed due to construction in Avengers Campus where they are adding two new rides to the land. Read about new rides coming to Disneyland here.
Napa Rose
Napa Rose is a restaurant in The Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. It was supposed to reopen this winter, but the reopening has been pushed back.
Upcoming Closures
There are some upcoming closures that you can plan on in the coming months. You can expect to see Haunted Mansion and It’s A Small World to close sometime in January to change them from their holiday versions back to the classic versions of the rides. In early 2026 Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue will be closing permanently. This sad closure comes to make room for the new Avatar Land in California Adventure. Fans will soon have to go to Disney World to go on Monsters, Inc. rides when the new Monsters, Inc. land opens there. Read about the new rides coming to Disney World here.
