Halloween time at The Disneyland Resort will run from August 22nd to October 31, 2025. These are the things coming to Disneyland for Halloween time 2025. There are many returning events that fans can look forward to.
New Character Outfits
Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse will be wearing new outfits for the Halloween season. They will wear these outfits on Main Street, USA in Disneyland, but will still have their classic outfits on at their houses in Mickey’s Toontown.
Halloween Treats
Different restaurants around Disneyland and California Adventure will have specialty Halloween treats available like Mickey bat cookies, Mickey pumpkin apples, and more.
Main Street Pumpkin Festival
The Main Street Pumpkin Festival is where there is lots of Halloween decor on Main Street, USA in Disneyland. This includes the big Mickey Mouse pumpkin, banners, and pumpkins throughout Main Street.
Radiator Screams
Cars Land aka Radiator Springs changes to Radiator Screams for the Halloween season. You can find orange lights, spiderwebs, and more Halloween decor all throughout this California Adventure land.
Other Halloween Decor
There is more Halloween decor throughout the parks too. This includes Oogie Boogie above the California Adventure entrance, Mickey and friends pumpkins above the Disneyland entrance, and more spooky decorations around Buena Vista Street in California Adventure.
Costumed Cars
The residents of Radiator Springs don’t miss the opportunity to dress up for Halloween. Lightning McQueen wears a superhero costume, Mater is a purple vampire, Cruz is a pirate, and Red the firetruck is a clown. It’s not always possible to see all of them though. Halloween Screams
Halloween Screams is a nighttime spectacular show in Disneyland. There are projections on the castle every night and fireworks on certain nights. This show will run during the whole Halloween season.
Oogie Boogie Bash
Oogie Boogie Bash is back this year. It’s a separate ticked event that takes place on select nights from August 17th through October 31st. Here you can trick or treat, do rare character meets, and more.
Haunted Mansion Holiday
Haunted Mansion Holiday is back this year starting August 22nd. The normal Haunted Mansion ride will close on August 9th to make the changes. This is where the ride gets a Nightmare Before Christmas overlay that lasts until early January.
Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark
Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! becomes Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark in the evening during the Halloween season. The ride gets a Halloween adventure and there are spooky lights on the outside of the building. This is one of the fastest rides at Disneyland. Read about the fastest Disneyland rides here.
Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween
Luigi’s Rollickin Roadtsers changes to Luigi’s Honkin Haul-O-Ween for Halloween time. The ride has Halloween music and decor on it and in front of it.
Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree
Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree transforms into Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree. There are spiderwebs and purple lights all throughout the attraction.
Disney’s Happiest Haunts: The Villains’ Trail Guided Tour
Disney’s Happiest Haunts is a 2 hour walking tour around Disneyland with a tour guide. You’ll get to take a picture with the Hitchhiking Ghosts from Haunted Mansion, have a reserved viewing area for Halloween Screams, and more.
Mickey’s Trick and Treat
Mickey’s Trick & Treat is a Halloween themed show with Mickey Mouse in the Disney Theater in California Adventure park. This show is for little ones. It will run from August 17th through October 31st. Check the app for showtimes.
Halloween Themed Character Dining
There will be Halloween and fall themed character dining at Goofy’s Kitchen and Storyteller’s Cafe through the Halloween season. Goofy’s Kitchen is in the Disneyland Hotel and Storyteller’s Cafe is in the Grand Californian Hotel & Spa.
Halloween Merch
The Disney parks and Downtown Disney will have lots of specialty Halloween merch for purchase. This includes clothing, plushes, and more.
Plaza de la Familia
Plaza de La Familia is a Pixar Coco themed area with shows in Paradise Gardens in California Adventure park. This goes from August 22nd to November 2nd.
Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit
Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit is a fun activity where you buy a map and do a scavenger hunt, then return your map for a prize. You can do it in Downtown Disney, Disneyland, or California Adventure.
