Do you know what the fastest rides at the Disneyland Resort are and exactly how fast they go? This post has all the details!
Incredicoaster
Incredicoaster tops the charts with a high speed of 55 mph! This ride is in California Adventure park. It used to be California Screamin’, then was changed to have an Incredibles theme in 2018.
Radiator Springs Racers
Radiator Springs Racers’ top speed is 40 mph! Not bad for a little car. This ride opened in 2012 when Cars Land opened in California Adventure.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is Disneyland’s newest ride. It was formerly Splash Mountain. Its top speed is 40 mph. Most of the ride is pretty slow, so the fast speed comes from the drop that’s 5 stories up.
Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT!
This thrilling drop ride has a top speed of 39 mph. It is in Avengers Campus in California Adventure. It used to be the Tower of Terror ride.
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
Big Thunder Mountain is a roller coaster in Frontierland. It’s super fun! It goes 35 mph at the fastest part. This ride opened in 1979.
Space Mountain
Space Mountain is a really fun dark ride in Tomorrowland. The top speed it reaches is 35 mph. It feels faster when you’re on it, but that is due to it being pitch black, so you can’t anticipate what is coming.
Goofy’s Sky School
Goofy’s Sky School reaches 27 mph. It’s a wild mouse roller coaster with super sharp turns. It used to be Mulholland Madness, but was changed to Goofy’s Sky School, which opened in 2011.
Matterhorn Bobsleds
The top speed of Matterhorn Bobsleds is 27 mph. Disneyland is the only Disney park that has this ride.
Chip ‘n’ Dale’s GADGETcoaster
It’s a bit surprising that this Toontown ride made the list of the fastest rides at Disneyland, but it’s faster than you would expect. It comes in at 22 mph.
Indiana Jones Adventure
Surprisingly, Indiana Jones Adventure isn’t higher up on this list, but it still comes in at #10. The top speed of this ride is 14 mph. I think it feels faster because of how wild and jerky some parts are.
