Disneyland in California and Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World in Florida have quite a few differences, but also a lot of similarities. They have a lot of the same rides and a lot of unique rides that the other theme park doesn’t have. These are the rides that are at both Disneyland and Magic Kingdom.
Astro Orbitor
Astro Orbitor is in Disneyland and Astro Orbiter is in Magic Kingdom. They’re basically the same ride, the name is just spelled a little differently. It’s a spinning ride in Tomorrowland.
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is a main train roller coaster ride in Frontierland. It’s super fun and thrilling. The two versions of this ride are very similar, but not identical.
Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters
Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters is in Disneyland and Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin is in Magic Kingdom. They are the same ride with just a little bit of different names. They are both located in Tomorrowland and are themed with Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story.
Disneyland Railroad and Walt Disney World Railroad
The Disneyland Railroad and the Walt Disney World Railroad are essentially the same attraction. One goes around Disneyland park and one goes around Magic Kingdom park. They both have a station on Main Street, USA and several others throughout the parks.
Dumbo The Flying Elephant
Dumbo the Flying Elephant is a cute spinning ride in Fantasyland in Disneyland and in Magic Kingdom. They’re the same ride, but the one in Disney World has a playground in the queue. Haunted Mansion
Haunted Mansion is an iconic attraction in New Orleans Square in Disneyland and Liberty Square in Magic Kingdom. A lot of guests like the Disneyland version more, partly because it changes to Haunted Mansion Holiday for Halloween and Christmas. See more rides that are better at Disneyland than Disney World.
Space Mountain
Space Mountain is a dark roller coaster in Tomorrowland in Magic Kingdom and Disneyland park. They’re pretty similar, but one of the biggest differences is the ride vehicles. In Magic Kingdom there is one person per row and in Disneyland there are two people per row.
It’s A Small World
It’s A Small World is a cute water boat ride attraction that is so loved by children and adults. It is in Fantasyland in both parks. It is most well-known for its catchy song.
Jungle Cruise
Jungle Cruise is in Adventureland in Disneyland and Magic Kingdom. The Magic Kingdom version has a few extra scenes and a cave that the Disneyland version does not have. Also, in Magic Kingdom is gets a Christmas overlay during the holidays and is called Jingle Cruise.
Mad Tea Party
Mad Tea Party is a spinning teacup ride in Fantasyland in both theme parks. The major difference between the rides is that the Magic Kingdom version has a cover over it so that the ride can stay open when it is raining outside.
Main Street Vehicles
Main Street Vehicles are located on Main Street, USA in Disneyland and Magic Kingdom. They are vehicles you can ride from the railroad station to the castle and back.
The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
The Many Adventures of Winnie The Pooh is a really cute and fun Winnie The Pooh themed ride. In Disneyland it is located in Bayou Country and in Magic Kingdom it is located in Fantasyland. The queue in Disney World is more fun and interactive than the Disneyland version.
Peter Pan’s Flight
Peter Pan’s Flight is a classic dark ride attraction in Fantasyland in Magic Kingdom and Disneyland. It takes you through the story of the movie Peter Pan.
Pirates of the Caribbean
Pirates of the Caribbean is a water boat ride attraction. It’s in New Orleans Square in Disneyland and Adventureland in Magic Kingdom. The Disneyland version is much longer than the Disney World version. In Disneyland it’s 16 minutes long and in Disney World it is 9 minutes.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure replaced Splash Mountain at the Disney parks on both coasts. It’s in Frontierland in Magic Kingdom and Bayou Country in Disneyland. The Disney World version is slightly longer than the Disneyland version of this ride.
Enchanted Tiki Room
Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room is a show attraction in Adventureland in both parks. It is the same show with the same animatronics.
