The Disneyland Resort is full of attractions that are thrilling, calm, and magical. These are the most gentle rides at Disneyland and California Adventure park. They are great if you don’t want to go on intense rides and you’re wanting a more chill day at the theme parks.
Storybook Land Canal Boats
Storybook Land Canal Boats is a nice, gentle ride in Fantasyland. It’s a boat ride that takes you around to see miniature versions of castles and villages from fairytales. Loading onto the boats can be a little hard for some people, but the Cast Members are always there to help.
It’s A Small World
It’s A Small World is a very calming boat ride attraction in Fantasyland in Disneyland. It does not have any drops and you will not get wet on the ride.
The Little Mermaid ~ Ariel’s Undersea Adventure
The Little Mermaid ~ Ariel’s Undersea Adventure is located in Paradise Gardens Park in California Adventure. You board a clamshell and go around through different scenes of the movie while listening to the best songs from it.
Disneyland Railroad
The Disneyland Railroad is a calm train ride that takes you all around Disneyland park. You can board at Main Street or other railroad stations throughout the park.
Casey Jr. Circus Train
Casey Jr. Circus Train is a gentle train ride that is perfect for babies, kids, and adults. It plays cute music and is intertwined with the attraction Storybook Land Canal Boats
Snow White’s Enchanted Wish
Snow White’s Enchanted Wish is a beautiful dark ride in Fantasyland. It is based off of the first full-length Disney animated movie Snow White. It is a slow-moving ride.
Peter Pan’s Flight
Peter Pan’s Flight is a very cute and fun dark ride in Fantasyland based off of the Disney movie Peter Pan. It’s a really short ride, but it’s such a classic. See all of the shortest Disneyland rides here.
Haunted Mansion
Haunted Mansion is a favorite attraction amongst many Disney guests. It is a spooky ride with parts that could be intense for some, but the movement of the ride is very gentle and not intense at all.
King Arthur Carrousel
King Arthur Carrousel is a merry-go-round in Fantasyland. This was one of the first attractions in Disneyland and was there when the park first opened. It is slow-moving and calm.
Jessie’s Critter Carousel
Jessie’s Critter Carousel is another merry-go-round attraction that is gentle. It is located on Pixar Pier in California Adventure parks.
Monster’s, Inc. Mike & Sulley To The Rescue

Pinocchio’s Daring Journey
Pinocchio’s Daring Journey is another dark ride in Fantasyland. If you want gentle rides, then Fantasyland is the land for you because it is full of them. This ride is based on the movie Pinocchio and takes you through that story.
Dumbo The Flying Elephant
Dumbo The Flying Elephant is a spinning attraction in Fantasyland. It’s such a classic and is so cute. It does not go fast or do anything crazy.
Soarin’ Around the World
Soarin’ Around The World is a ride in the Grizzly Peak area of California Adventure park. It has a height requirement of 40″, but most people would consider it to be a gentle and calm ride.
Main Street Vehicles
Main Street Vehicles are a relaxing way to travel down Main Street, USA in Disneyland. There are a few different vehicles that run for about the first half of the day. They take you from the top of Main Street to the castle or the opposite way.
Jungle Cruise
The Jungle Cruise is a boat ride attraction in Adventureland. It’s a calm boat ride that is not crazy or jerky. You will not get wet on this ride.
Pixar Pal-A-Round Non-Swinging
Pixar Pal-A-Round is the iconic ferris wheel in California Adventure park that has a big Mickey head on it. You can ride swinging or non-swinging. If you want gentle, then you have to choose the non-swinging option.
Mark Twain Riverboat
Mark Twain Riverboat is a big steam vessel that travels on the Rivers of America in Frontierland in Disneyland. It is a classic attraction to this park.

Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage
Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage is a submarine attraction in Tomorrowland in Disneyland. The theming of it is from the Pixar movie Finding Nemo. It’s a gentle ride, but some people do feel claustrophobic on it.
