When you go to Disneyland and California Adventure you really feel like you’ve left the real world behind and are in a fantasy now. There are certain rides that take this to another level though and make it feel like you’re in a specific movie or that you’re in another world. These are the most immersive Disneyland rides.
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance is one of the most immersive Disney rides ever. It is based on the Star Wars movies episode 8 and 9. The Stormtroopers look real and so do the animatronics on the ride, like Kylo Ren. The room with the big AT-ATs is mind-blowing and you feel like you are in the Star Wars movies.
Indiana Jones Adventure
Indiana Jones Adventure is a fun and thrilling ride in Adventureland in Disneyland. It feels like you’re on a quest with Indiana Jones and it feels intense like you’re really running to safety.
Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters
Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters is in Tomorrowland in Disneyland. Everything about this ride is immersive and makes you feel like you’re in the video game that Buzz Lightyear and Zurg are from.
Radiator Springs Racers
Radiator Springs Racers is probably the most immersive ride in California Adventure park. It is located in Cars Land. Everything about Cars Land makes it feel like you’re in Radiator Springs. This ride is so fun and thrilling.
Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run
Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run is located in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland. It is a simulation ride where you go in the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon and fly it.
Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue
Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue is a really cute Pixar ride that does a great job of making it feel like you’re in the world of Monsters, Inc. It is located in Hollywood Land in California Adventure park.
Peter Pan’s Flight
Peter Pan’s Flight is a really cute and magical ride that tells the story of the Peter Pan movie. It is located in Fantasyland in Disneyland. This is one of the shortest rides at Disneyland with a ride time of about 2 minutes. See all of the shortest Disneyland rides here.
Snow White’s Enchanted Wish
Snow White’s Enchanted Wish is another immersive Fantasyland attraction. It was redone in 2021 and feels so much more magical than it used to. It’s a really beautiful ride.
Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway

Alice in Wonderland

It’s A Small World is a boat ride in Fantasyland. It makes you feel immersed in other cultures when you’re on it.
The Little Mermaid ~ Ariel’s Undersea Adventure
If you love Disney princesses, then you can’t skip The Little Mermaid ~ Ariel’s Undersea Adventure. This ride takes you under the sea to experience the major scenes from the movie.
