Fantasyland is such a magical and unique place! It has really fun rides like Dumbo The Flying Elephant, Peter Pan’s Flight, Mad Tea Party, and more.
You can eat yummy snacks and meals here, see characters walking around, and do some shopping. It’s seriously such a whimsical and lively part of the Disneyland Resort.
There are some not-so-obvious things going on in Fantasyland that I’m going to share with you so you can spot them on your next Disneyland trip and share your new knowledge with your friend and family.
I’m going to tell you all about hidden gems in Fantasyland in Disneyland and I know you’re going to love it!
1. Rapunzel’s Tower
Rapunzel’s Tower is my #1 favorite hidden gem in Fantasyland! It is so unique and pretty.
It is not in the main part of Fantasyland and is instead located to the left of the castle between the Royal Hall and Royal theater.
You can always ask a cast member where it is if you can’t find it. Watch my video here to see where to find it.
This tower is tall and looks just like the tower Rapunzel lives inside of in the Tangle movie. You can see Rapunzel’s head popping out of the top and her long hair wraps around the tower.
The tower is so magical and beautiful at night. About every 15 minutes Rapunzel’s hair lights up purple and the healing incantation song from the movie plays.
It only lasts for about 30-45 seconds, so hang out near the tower to make sure you don’t miss it.
2. Evil Queen In The Window
One of the most recently reimagined attractions in Fantasyland is Snow White’s Enchanted Wish. If you haven’t been on this ride since it was redone, then it’s an absolute must ride!
It has parts that are so pretty and colorful, like the parts with the gemstones. I really love this ride and I’m not even a huge Snow White fan.
Well, there’s something really cool outside this ride that you can see if you know where to look. When you aren’t on the ride, take a look at it.
Right above the sign on the ride that says “Snow White’s Enchanted Wish” there is a window. Watch it for about a minute and you’ll see the drapes open.
Of course the person opening them is the Evil Queen aka the villain from the Snow White movie. She opens and closes the drapes pretty frequently, but it’s easy to miss.
I walked by this ride many many times before I ever knew about this Fantasyland hidden gem.
3. Hidden Mickey On Peter Pan’s Flight
I cannot get enough of finding hidden Mickeys! They are so cool and can be so hard to find. It’s very satisfying when you actually spot them.
One of the trickiest hidden Mickeys in Disneyland to find is on the ride Peter Pan’s Flight. You definitely have to know where to look to see it and it’s very easy to miss.
When you get to the room with Big Ben in London you’ll want to stare at Big Ben and follow it with your eyes as you go around it.
You’ll even have to look back a little to see this hidden Mickey. On the back of Big Ben towards the top you’ll see a silhouette of Mickey Mouse’s body standing on it.
This is a very quick one to see so make sure you know what you’re looking for! Watch my video here to see it while on the ride.
4. Peter Pan And Wendy’s Initials
There’s a tree in Fantasyland that has Peter Pan and Wendy Darling’s initials carved into it. It has “PP” for Peter Pan and “WD” for Wendy Darling. It also has an arrow between their initials.
This is another hidden gem that is not the easiest to find. On the right side of the castle you’ll find Snow White’s Wishing Well and there is a small set of stairs behind it.
Go up the stairs and look to the right. There is a tree there that you’ll want to try to look around to see the backside of and that’s where the initials are.
5. Monstro Blinks
Monstro is the huge sperm whale in the Pinocchio animated film from 1940. You can find him in Disneyland on the attraction Storybook Land Canal Boats.
He’s at the very beginning of the ride. When you’re on this ride your boat will go right into his mouth and through him.
He does something really cool, but you can only see this when you are not on the ride. Watch his eye and every now and then you’ll see him very slowly blink his eye.
