If you’re going to Disneyland in August 2025, then you’ll want to know about all of these ride closures before you go. It’s good to know what they are so you can plan your trip accordingly and won’t be upset when you get there and find out something is closed.
Storybook Land Canal Boats
Storybook Land Canal Boats will be closing for maintenance on July 21st and the reopening date is to be determined. It will likely be closed for at least some of August, but possibly the whole month. This ride is located in Fantasyland in Disneyland park.
Casey Jr. Circus Train
Casey Jr. Circus Train is another ride in Fantasyland that will be closing. The closure starts on July 28th and a reopening date has not yet been announced.
Radiator Springs Racers
Radiator Springs Racers will close on August 18th for refurbishment. This is one of the most popular attractions in California Adventure, so this is upsetting for guests who will be there during this time. It is unknown exactly how long this closure will be, but some people are speculating it will be about 2 months.
Star Tours – The Adventure Continues
Star Tours – The Adventure Continues is currently closed since it closed on June 30th for maintenance. It is unknown when this Star Wars themed attraction will reopen. It is in Tomorrowland in Disneyland.
Haunted Mansion
Haunted Mansion will close on August 9th and reopen as Haunted Mansion Holiday on August 22nd. This closure happens every year for Disney to put the Nightmare Before Christmas overlay on the ride for Halloween and Christmas time. It will change back to the normal version of the ride in January.
Incredicoaster
Incredicoaster is located in Pixar Pier in California Adventure park. It is going to close on July 28th for a refurbishment. It is unknown when this roller coaster will open again.
Redwood Creek Challenge Trail
Redwood Creek Challenge Trail is located in the Grizzly Peak area of California Adventure park. It will be closing on July 21st and reopen on August 14th. This is a fun outdoor area for kids to climb, go on slides, meet Chip n Dale, and more. Read about more Disneyland closures for August 2025 here.
Upcoming Ride Closures
There are some upcoming closures to be aware of if you’ll be in Disneyland after August. It’s A Small World usually closed in mid-October to change it to the holiday version. Also, Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue is going to permanently close in early 2026 so Disneyland can build an Avatar land with new rides. Read about the new Disney rides here.
