These are the Disneyland closures for October 2025 that you should know about before visiting. It’s good to know these closures so you can plan your trip around them and manage your expectations. The closures include rides and more.
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is a roller coaster in Frontierland in Disneyland. It closed for maintenance in early September and it finally has a reopening date. This attraction will be open and running again on October 25th.
Casey Jr. Circus Train
Casey Jr. Circus Train has been closed since the end of July. It is a cute train ride in Fantasyland in Disneyland park. Hopefully it will reopen soon.
Storybook Land Canal Boats
Storybook Land Canal Boats goes around the same area as Casey Jr. Circus Train. It’s a beautiful boat ride that is even more beautiful at night. This boat ride closed in mid-July and still does not have a reopening date.
Mickey’s Philharmagic
Mickey’s Philharmagic is located in Hollywood Land in California Adventure park. It will be closing on October 6th for an unknown period of time.
Path From Avengers Campus to Cars Land
The path that goes between Avengers Campus and Cars Land is currently closed for an unknown period of time. This is due to the construction in Avengers Campus where they are adding two new attractions. Read about Cars Land hidden gems that are fun to find here.
Napa Rose
Napa Rose is a very nice restaurant in The Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. It has been closed since the spring while it is getting some big updates. It should reopen sometime this fall, but the reopening date has not been announced.
It’s A Small World Possibly
It’s A Small World is not confirmed to be closing in October, but it is likely that it will close sometime in the last half of October. This is a yearly closure that comes so Disneyland can change it to It’s A Small World Holiday and add the Christmas overlay to the ride.
Upcoming Closures
Looking ahead to the next several months there are some closures we can expect. Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue will be permanently closing in early 2026 to make room for Avatar rides. Haunted Mansion Holiday will close in early January to change back to the classic version of the ride, It’s A Small World will likely close in January to change back to the classic version, and Grizzly River Run usually closes sometime in the winter for seasonal maintenance.
