Cars Land is one of the most popular lands in California Adventure at The Disneyland Resort. When you’re there it really feels like you stepped into the Pixar Cars movies. The imagineers thought of everything when they designed and built this land. These are some really cool Cars Land hidden details that you can look for next time you’re there.
Hidden Mickey In The Wires
One of the easiest and coolest things to find is this hidden Mickey in the wires. Go to the Stanley statue at the end of the road and look up and to the left, or you can spot it pretty easily when you come out of the exit from Radiator Springs Racers.
Cars Land Stoplight
In the Cars movie Filmore, the VW bus, says “I tell ya man, every third blink is slower”. When you’re there, watch the stoplight for a minute and you can really see that every third blink lasts a little longer than the two before it.
Toy Story Characters
The Cozy Cone Motel has an office in the middle and the big traffic cones are restaurants. Go look in the windows of the office and look at the traffic cones closely. You can see Toy Story characters under them, like Buzz Lightyear and Slinky Dog. This is a reference to when they crossed the road under traffic cones in Toy Story 2.
Cadillac Mountain Range
To see this hidden detail, go to the area where you can watch cars drive by on Radiator Springs Racers. These mountain peaks resemble Cadillac tail fins from old Cadillac cars. They are all different models.
Hidden Mickey At Ramone’s
Ramone’s House of Body Art has car hoods in the windows that you can see from outside the shop. Look closely at them to find hidden Mickeys. This one is the car hood all the way to the right, closest to the Radiator Springs Racers lookout area. Look in the red section to see this hidden Mickey.
Sh-Boom Lighting
Every night at dusk, the Sh-Boom song from the first Cars movie plays and all of the neon lights turn on one by one. It’s beautiful and can’t be missed.
Hidden Mickey On Mater
Mater is one of the Cars you can meet in Cars Land. When you see him driving around or meet him, look closely where his hood would be and you can see a tiny hidden Mickey popping up.
