The Disney DAS pass helps guests who need some accommodations during their visit to a Disney park because of a disability. This is so useful for people who are unable to wait in lines for a long time. People with physical disabilities can use it as well as people with mental disabilities.
We used this on our last trip to Disneyland and California Adventure and are so grateful it exists. We have someone in our family who needs this and it was so helpful for us. We would have only been able to do a few rides if we wouldn’t have had the Disney DAS pass because of the wait times and lines being hard for someone in our party.
If you do not really need the Disney DAS pass, then do not try to get it. It is awesome, but if people take advantage of it, then people who really need it will not be able to use it. If you try to get one and they find that you are lying about needing it, you will be permanently banned from going to the Disney parks.
What Is The Disney DAS Pass?
DAS stands for Disability Access Service. This service is available at Disneyland and the Disney World Resort. It helps people who have a hard time waiting in line for attractions because of a disability.
You cannot use to the pass to skip lines, but instead you use the pass in the Disneyland app to wait in a virtual queue instead of actually standing in line. You will choose a ride to go on and it will give you return times that are the current standby wait times.

DAS Advance
You can register for a DAS pass once you’re in the park, or you can pre-register for DAS Advance planning option before you go on your trip. To do DAS Advance, you’ll talk to a cast member via live video chat to discuss your needs. You can do this 2-30 days before your park visit.
How To Get A DAS Pass
To get a DAS pass you will head to Guest Services or Guest Relations and talk to a cast member. Explain to them what your needs are and tell them who in your party needs the DAS pass. This person must be present. You do not need to bring or show them a diagnosis.
They will need to scan your tickets, so it’s best if you have those loaded into the app and have everyone’s tickets linked together.
How To Use The Disney DAS Pass
Step 1 – Open the Disneyland app or My Disney Experience App.
Step 2 – Click the 3 lines in the bottom right corner.
Step 3 – Scroll down and click on Disability Access Service (DAS).
Step 4 – Click the ride you want to go on.
Step 5 – Click where it says DAS in a blue circle and has a return time.
Step 6 – Select all the guests you want a return time for and hit continue.
Step 7 – Click confirm.
You can go back to the home screen to see which ride you have a DAS pass for and what time it’s for. Once that time comes, you can head to that ride and have the cast members scan your passes.
The person who qualifies for the DAS pass must be present to go on the ride you are using the DAS pass for. The rest of your party cannot use the pass to go on rides without the person who has it.
Return times do not expire. You have to wait till your return time, then you can go anytime. You just can’t go before your return time.
Where To Go To Redeem Your DAS Pass Return Time
This will depend on the ride. For a lot of the older rides you’ll go to the exit of the ride and talk to a cast member there who will have you redeem it in the app.
For a lot of the newer rides, you’ll go the fast pass entrance to scan your DAS passes.

Can You Have More Than One Return Time At A Time?
No, you can only have one going at a time. You’ll need to redeem or cancel your current pass for a ride, then you can immediately choose another ride to get a return time for.
Can You Go On The Same Ride More Than Once?

How Many People Can I Have On My DAS Pass?
You can have 6 people. That includes the person needing the DAS pass. So you can have the person needing the DAS pass plus 5 more people. If you have more people in your party than that, you’ll need to talk to Guest Services and see if they’re able to accommodate you.
Do You Need Genie + With Your Disney DAS Pass?
No, you do not need this. I personally haven’t ever used Genie+. I’ve heard that the DAS pass plus Genie+ can be good, but I think that the DAS pass works great on it’s own, so it’s not worth spending the money on Genie+. You can use the DAS pass on lightning lane attractions.
