These are all of the closures at Disney World in July 2025 that you can expect to see. These are always subject to change. Knowing about the closures before you go on your vacation will help you better plan and prepare.
Rivers of America
The Rivers of America are going to be closing permanently on July 7, 2025. The last day to experience the Rivers of America is July 6th. This is a body of water in Magic Kingdom park that will be turned into a new Pixar Cars land called Piston Peak.
Tom Sawyer Island
Tom Sawyer Island is also going to be closing on July 7, so the last day to experience it is July 6th. This is an island that is accessible via the Rivers of America in Magic Kingdom.
Liberty Square Riverboat
Liberty Square Riverboat is another thing that will permanently close on July 7. Construction will start in this area soon after to develop Piston Peak and the two new Cars rides it will have. See a list of new Disney rides coming here.
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is a roller coaster in Frontierland in Magic Kingdom. It closed in January of 2025 for some big refurbishments and is expected to open in early 2026. If you want to go on this ride you’ll need to go to Disneyland since it’s open there. See a list of Disneyland rides closures in July 2025 here.
Astro Orbiter
Astro Orbiter is is spinning ride located in Tomorrowland in Magic Kingdom park. It has been closed for a little while now and will remain closed until about the end of summer.
Hall of Presidents
Hall of Presidents in Magic Kingdom park is still closed. It closed in January 2025 and does not yet have a reopening date that has been announced.
Test Track
Test Track is a car attraction in EPCOT. It has been closed for more than a year and finally has a reopening date. It will reopen on July 22nd.
Disney Springs Starbucks on the West Side
Starbucks on the West side of Disney Springs is still closed. It should re-open mid summer, so probably in mid-July.
Dumbo The Flying Elephant Playground
The playground in side the queue for the ride Dumbo The Flying Elephant is currently closed for refurbishment. It does not have a reopening date yet. The Dumbo ride is still open right now though.
Room Closures At Resorts
There are some room closures at Port Orleans French Quarter Hotel and The Contemporary Resort has some room closures at Bay Lake Tower.
