Disneyland’s 70th Birthday
The Disneyland 70th Celebration has been going since May, but the actual birthday is July 17th. This will be a big day at Disneyland with lots of celebrations.
Walt Disney – A Magical Life Debut
Walt Disney – A Magical Life is a new show that will replace Great Moments With Mr. Lincoln. It will be in the Main Street Opera House right at the beginning of Main Street, USA. This new show starts on Disneyland’s birthday, July 17th.
New Verse On It’s A Small World
Starting on July 17th, you’ll want to pay extra attention to the song you hear on It’s A Small World because it will have a new verse playing. This is to honor the song writer, Richard Sherman.
Ride Closures
Ride closures for the month of July include Matterhorn Bobsleds, Star Tours, Storybook Land Canal Boats, and Pixar Pal-A-Round. Read exact dates for the closures and more info here.
Other Closures
Other closures that are not rides include Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room, Pixie Hollow, Great Moments With Mr. Lincoln, Redwood Creek Challenge Trail, Napa Rose, and the walkway between Cars Land and Avengers Campus. Read more about the closures and dates for them here.
4th of July
The 4th of July will be celebrated at Disneyland. They will have a flag retreat, patriotic music, and a special fireworks show.
The Last Full Month of the 70th Celebration
July 2025 is the last full month of the Disneyland Resort’s 70th Celebration. This celebration will end mid-August, then Halloween time will start.
Summer Crowds
Disneyland will see increased crowds for summer break. This will last until about mid-August. A lot of families take their summer vacations in July.
