These are all of the changes coming to Disney World in June 2025. You’ll want to know about all of them before heading out on your vacation. It’s good to know what is open and closed and what events will be going on.
Both Water Parks Will Be Open
For the last several summers there has only been one Disney World water park open at a time. This summer both Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon will both be open all summer until Typhoon Lagoon closes on September 7th.
Flower & Garden Festival Is Ending
The Flower in Garden Festival is a yearly festival that happens in EPCOT. The last day of this festival this year is June 2nd.
Father’s Day
Father’s Day this year is on Sunday June 15th. Sometimes there is special merch or dining for this holiday in Disney World.
Summer Crowds
School ends for a lot of people at the end of May and beginning of June. A lot of people take their family vacations in June, so that means there will be increased crowds for summer.
Muppets Courtyard Is Permanently Closing
Muppets Courtyard in Hollywood Studios is coming to an end. The last things to close are Pizzerizzo and Muppet*Vision 3D. The last day to go here is June 7th, then on June 8th it will all be closed.
Ride Closures
Disney World ride closures for June include Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Test Track, Astro Orbiter, and Muppet*Vision 3D. See exact dates and more info on the closures here.
Other Closures
Other Disney World closures that are not rides include some of the resort pools, resort rooms, Starbucks at Disney Springs, Hall of Presidents, and more. See more about the closures here.
Stitch Day
Stitch is experiment 626, so June 26th (6/26) is Stitch Day for Disney fans. Sometimes the parks have special merch and food for this holiday.
A New Bar Is Opening
Geo-82 is a new bar for adults ages 21+ that is opening on June 4th. This is located inside of Spaceship Earth in EPCOT. They will have unique drinks, small plates of food, and great views for fireworks.
Shula’s Steakhouse Is Closing
Shula’s Steak House is a restaurant inside the Dolphin Hotel. It will be permanently closing on June 15th to make room for a new restaurant.
