These are all of the changes coming to Disney World in July 2025. If you have a vacation to Florida and Walt Disney World in July, then it’s good to know about everything going on and plan your trip based on it.
Disney Starlight: Dream The Night Away
Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away is a new nighttime parade that will debut in Magic Kingdom on July 20, 2025. It will feature Moana, Encanto, Peter Pan, Frozen, and more.
4th of July
Magic Kingdom and EPCOT will both have special 4th of July fireworks shows. The EPCOT ones will be on Friday July 4th. The Magic Kingdom 4th of July fireworks show will be on July 3rd and July 4th. There will be patriotic music.
Test Track Is Reopening
Test Track in EPCOT has been closed for more than a year to undergo major refurbishments. It is finally reopening on July 22nd.
Test Track Previews
Test Track previews will be June 27th through July 10th, which is before the ride officially opens. This is for Cast Members, annual passholders, Club 33 members, Disney Vacation Club members, and residents of Golden Oak.
The Rivers of America Is Permanently Closing
If you love the Rivers of America, then get there by July 6th because that is the last day to go here. This along with Tom Sawyer Island, and Liberty Square Riverboat are permanently closing on July 7th. Read about all of the permanent closures coming to Disney parks in 2025 and 2026 here.
Ride Closures
Rides with closures in July 2025 include Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Astro Orbiter, Test Track, and Liberty Square Riverboat. Read more info and dates for the closures here.
Other Closures
Other closures that are not rides include Hall of Presidents, Starbucks on the West side of Disney Springs, and the playground in the queue for Dumbo the Flying Elephant.
H2O Glow At Typhoon Lagoon
H2O Glow is an after hours event at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon waterpark. There are lower wait times for rides. This is happening on select nights through September 13th.
Summer Crowds
Summer is one of the times of the year with higher crowds at Walt Disney World. You can expect this to last through about mid-August when kids go back to school and people are not taking summer vacations anymore.
