These are all of the big changes at The Disneyland Resort in November 2025. You need to be aware of these if you are going to Disneyland and California Adventure during this month. It will help you plan better and prepare better for your November vacation. This includes seasons that are starting, parade schedules, closures, rides that are changing, and more. Take note of the things on this list that will impact your vacation so you don’t miss out on anything.
The Holiday Season Is Starting
The holidays and Christmas season at The Disneyland Resort officially start on November 14th and will run until January 7, 2026. Main Street, USA will have a huge decorated Christmas tree, garland, and wreaths, the castle will be covered in snow, lights, and decor, there will be characters in Christmas outfits, seasonal holiday foods and drinks, Chip and Dale’s Ornament Trail, It’s A Small World Holiday projections, a holiday fireworks show, Disney Viva Navidad, and so much more holiday fun.
Christmas Ride Overlays
There are a few Christmas ride overlays that you can expect to see for the entire holiday season at Disneyland and California Adventure. It’s A Small World becomes It’s A Small World Holiday where it has Christmas lights, decor, and a special holiday version of the song. Haunted Mansion changed to Haunted Mansion Holiday with a Nightmare Before Christmas overlay. This came for Halloween time and stays through the Christmas season. Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree in Cars Land changes to Mater’s Jingle Jamboree where Mater sings holiday songs and there is Christmas decor put up. Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters changes to Luigi’s Joy to the Whirl.
Redwood Creek Challenge Trail is Changing
Redwood Creek Challenge Trail in California Adventure will be closed from November 1st through 13th, then reopen on November 14th as Redwood Creek Challenge Trail Welcomes Santa. This is where you can meet Santa Claus during the holiday season. This is a fun area for kids to run around and play. It’s also a nice, quiet area to take a break.
Festival of the Holidays Is Starting
Festival of the Holidays will be in California Adventure park from November 14th through January 7th. There will be multicultural performances with music, storytelling, and dancing, festival foods, Mirabel’s Gifts of the Season, A Musical Christmas With Mariachi Alegria de Disneyland & Miguel, Holiday Toy Drummers, Mickey’s Happy Holidays, characters in Christmas attire, and much more.
Character Dining Changes
Storyteller’s Cafe will have Mickey’s Autumn Adventures Breakfast until November 16th, Donald’s Tales of Adventure Dinner Buffet from November 1st through 16th, Thanksgiving Day Brunch and Dinner on November 27th, Daisy’s Holiday Pajama Party for breakfast and brunch from November 17th through January 6th, and Mickey’s Christmas Carol Feast for dinner from November 17th through January 6th. Goofy’s Kitchen will do Goofy’s Kitchen Celebrates the Holidays from November 17, 2025, through January 6, 2026, A Bountiful Thanksgiving Day Meal Awaits on November 27th, and Good Morning Giggles and Brunch Belly Laughs November 1-16th.
Ride Closures
Ride closures for the month of November include It’s A Small World, Redwood Creek Challenge Trail, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Storybook Land Canal Boats, and Casey Jr. Circus Train. None of these closures are permanent. Some of them have reopening dates, but not all of them do. Which of these closures are you the most upset about? Other Closures
Other closures at The Disneyland Resort in November are the pathway between Cars Land and Avengers Campus and the restaurant Napa Rose. The pathway is closed due to construction on Avengers Campus where they are adding two new attractions to the land. It is unknown when this construction will be done and when the pathway will reopen. Napa Rose is in The Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. It is getting redone and was supposed to reopen this fall, but the opening has been pushed back.
Paint the Night is Pausing
The nighttime parade Paint the Night has been running since May when the Disneyland 70th Celebration started. It is going to go from November 1st though 9th, then take a break. November 9th will be the last day for this parade in 2025 because the holiday parade will be going instead starting on November 14th. Paint the Night will be back sometime in 2025.
A Christmas Fantasy Parade
A Christmas Fantasy Parade is a special holiday and Christmas parade down Main Street, USA in Disneyland park. It will start on November 14th with the holiday season and run daily. The times of the parade are at 3pm and 5:15pm everyday until the holiday season ends on January 7, 2025. This parade features Santa Clause, Mickey and Minnie, Chip n Dale, Buzz Lightyear and Jessie, Disney Princesses, and more. Have you seen this festive parade before?
Wondrous Journeys Comes Back
The nighttime show Wondrous Journeys will be back from November 1st through 13th. It will have projections on the castle and fireworks on select nights. This has not been running the past few months because a Halloween show has been going instead. It will only return for a short time between the Halloween and Christmas seasons. Once Christmas starts on November 14th, the nighttime show will switch over to Believe…In Holiday Magic which will go for the entire holiday season until November 7th.
Park Hours Are Changing
Disneyland park hours are changing in the month of November. The park will be open from 8am to 11pm on November 1st and 2nd, then on November 3rd the hours will get shorter. Disneyland will start closing at 10pm each night. California Adventure park will close each night at 9pm. Christmas In Radiator Springs
Cars Land gets an overlay for the holidays called Christmas in Radiator Springs. There are wreaths and garland everywhere along with Christmas trees, ride overlays on two of the rides (not Radiator Springs Racers), and Mater wears a Santa hat when you meet him and when he drives around the town. Cars Land feels very merry and festive. It’s a fun place to be for the holiday season.
