If you’re going to Disney World between August 25th and 31st, then these are the things you must know before going. They include festivals, events, holidays, closures, and more. You need to know them to better plan out your vacation at Disney World.
Halloween Season

The Halloween season will be going all week at Walt Disney World since the season has already begun and ends on Halloween day. There are fun Halloween treats you can get and decor throughout the resort, especially on Main Street in Magic Kingdom.
Labor Day Weekend

Labor Day is September 1st, so the weekend will include August 30th and 31st. You can expect to see increased crowds in all of the Disney World theme parks during the weekend since a lot of Americans are off of school and work for the long weekend.
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is in Magic Kingdom on the nights of Tuesday August 26th and Friday the 29th. The park will close early for general admission guests on those nights. This is a Halloween party that features exclusive foods, merch, character meets, and entertainment.
Weather

Next week at Disney World the weather is showing hot and rainy on a lot of days. Dress for the heat and pack a poncho to quickly pull out when the rain and thunderstorms show up.
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival

Disney Starlight Parade

Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away is a new nighttime parade in Magic Kingdom. It happens on the nights there is not a Halloween party in Magic Kingdom. For next week that means it will be every night except the 26th and 29th.
Nighttime Shows

EPCOT has Luminous the Symphony of Us every night. Hollywood Studios has Fantastmic and Wonderful World of Animation will be each night. Magic Kingdom will have Happily Ever After on non-Halloween party nights and Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party will have Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular on the nights of the event.

Other Closures

Last Chance for The Boneyard

The Boneyard play area in DinoLand USA in Animal Kingdom is permanently closing on September 2nd. That means that this week is your last chance to experience this area of DinoLand USA.

Guests who are staying at Disney World Resort hotels have access to free water park admission on the day they check-in. They can go to either Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon for the day.
