Disney just announced that three Disney World rides are getting new holiday overlays for the very first time in 2026.
There are already some Disney World rides with holiday overlays like Jingle Cruise and Living With The Land – Glimmering Greenhouses.
I’ll go over each of the three rides changing for the holidays including what’s changing, the dates, and the new holiday name for each ride.
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets: Obligatory Holiday Overlay

Earlier this year Rock n Roller Coaster changed from Aerosmith themed to Muppets Electric Mayhem themed.
It will be getting its first holiday overlay this Christmas season from November 4, 2026 through January 6, 2027.
The pre-show for the holiday version will have Gonzo and Rizzo in their outfits from The Muppets Christmas Carol.
Electric Mayhem recorded new, unique songs just for the holiday version of this attraction.
Here’s the new setlist:
- Holiday Road – The Electric Mayhem ft. Kermit the Frog and Fozzie Bear
- Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) by The Electric Mayhem featuring Jennifer Hudson
- Silver Bells by The Electric Mayhem featuring Cyndi Lauper
- Little Saint Nick by The Electric Mayhem
There will also be holiday music playing outside the ride.
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind – Holiday Remix

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind will be transforming into Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind – Holiday Remix.
There are three song options that will play when you ride. They are:
- It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year by Andy Williams
- Christmas Eve / Sarajevo 12/24 by Trans-Siberian Orchestra 8
- Christmas Wrapping by The Waitresses
There are usually six high energy song options on this, so this will have less song options during the holidays.
This holiday overlay will operate from November 25, 2026 till January 6, 2027. On January 7th it will change back to its normal songs, including September by Earth, Wind & Fire.
This is not the first time Cosmic Rewind has had festive holiday songs. It once had a Christmas medley that played and was the same on each ride. This time it will rotate between three song options.
Alien Swirling Saucers: Lilypad’s Jams Holiday Tunes

Alien Swirling Saucers recently got some updates with the addition of Lilypad from Toy Story 5.
The ride will be changing during the holiday season to be called Alien Swirling Saucers: Lilypad’s Jams Holiday Tunes.
This Christmas version of the ride will run from November 4, 2026 through January 6, 2027.
Lilypad will be switching up the songs she plays and there will be four Christmas song options.
These are the songs you’ll randomly have when you ride:
- Toyland
- Deck the Halls
- Swirling, Swirling Saucers
- Joy to the Swirl
That means that starting January 7th you’ll be able to hear I Knew It, I Knew You by Taylor Swift again.
