One of the most popular things to do at Disney parks is meet Mickey Mouse. Children and adults love to meet the mouse that started it all. There are a few things Mickey can’t do with you when you meet him though. Some are pretty surprising!
Hold Babies
This one seems pretty obvious, but Mickey Mouse can’t hold your baby. This is for safety reasons for your baby and also for Mickey Mouse. It could be hard for Mickey to have a good grip on your baby. You can always hold your baby next to Mickey Mouse though to get the cute shot of them together.
Sign Body Parts
Mickey Mouse cannot sign anywhere on your body. That would just be weird. He can sign autograph books and other souvenirs though. Have them and your pens out and ready for when you meet him to keep it quick.
Gender Reveals
Mickey will not help you with your gender reveal. Sometimes parents are disappointed with the outcome of gender reveals and Mickey can’t disappoint people! You’ll have to find some other way in the parks to do your gender reveal.
Give Gifts
Mickey isn’t going to help you give your kids or anyone a gift, even if it’s one you bought for him to give. Mickey is a fair mouse and this could make other kids jealous and wonder where their gift from Mickey is.
Talk To You
Mickey Mouse is a fur character and fur characters can’t talk to guests. Their mouths don’t move, so this would be odd to have him talking with no facial movements. Face characters like princesses will talk to you when you meet them though.
Meet You Anytime
Mickey is on a schedule, so he cannot meet you at anytime that works for you. You’ll need to look at his schedule and meet him at a time it shows he will be out.
Do Any Pose You Want
You can request Mickey do a certain pose, but it is definitely not guaranteed that he will or can do them. This is to avoid anything suggestive or inappropriate. Mickey always chooses the cutest poses to do for your pictures though!
Help With Proposals
Mickey is not going to assist you with your marriage proposal. Disney tries to keep things fair, so they can’t have everyone lining up for proposals and taking up all of Mickey’s time with them. There are plenty of places to propose in the parks though, like in front of the castle or at a nice meal.
Hold Plushes
It is not guaranteed that Mickey will hold plushes for you. This can be hard with his big hands and fingers that are not the easiest to maneuver.
Stay For An Extended Period Of Time
Mickey Mouse usually has long lines of people waiting to meet him and he needs to get through a lot of guests. So don’t expect the mouse to stay with you for an extended period of time. Keep your interactions shorter to help the line keep moving.
