12 Ways To Beat The Heat At Disney World

Published by Elizabeth Morgan on June 9, 2025

It’s no surprise that it gets very hot at Walt Disney World in Florida, especially in the summer. It’s good to know how to manage it so you can enjoy your Disney vacation. These are the best ways to beat the heat at Disney World.

Stay Hydrated

One of the best things you can do at Disney World is stay hydrated. Drink a lot of fluids, especially cold water. You can get free ice water from quick service restaurants and put it in an insulated water bottle so it stays cold.

Table Service Restaurants

Table service restaurants are a nice break from the heat since you will be sitting indoors for a longer period of time. Some restaurants for this are Cinderella’s Royal Table, Coral Reef Restaurant, and The Crystal Palace. Make a reservation ahead of time to make sure you can get in.

Take An Afternoon Break

The afternoon is the hottest time of the day and usually the busiest time of day in the parks too. If you’re staying close to the parks, consider taking a break in your hotel room to rest and recharge. Otherwise, find somewhere indoors in the parks where you can take a little break.

Water Rides

Casey Jr. Splash ‘n’ Soak Station is a cute water play area for kids. They will get wet here. It’s located in Fantasyland in Magic Kingdom. It’s inspired by the movie Dumbo the Flying Elephant.

Eat Cold Snacks
