Walt Disney World have four theme parks, which are Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, and Hollywood Studios. The parks are constantly changing what they have to offer. These are some of the things you’ll never be able to do at Disney World again.
Have Mickey Mouse Talk To You

In 2013 Disney came out with a new feature for Mickey Mouse at Town Square Theater in Magic Kingdom. He could talk to you! He could also perform magic tricks for guests. His talking abilities went away in 2018 and he hasn’t been talking to guests ever since.
Bring A Selfie Stick

You used to be able to bring selfie sticks to Disney World when the picture taking devices first came out, but Disney World banned them in 2015. You will get it taken from you if you try to take it through security now. Selfie sticks were dangerous on the rides and were obstructing views of other guests.
Swim In Bay Lake And Seven Seas Lagoon

It’s crazy to think that guests of Disney World were able to swim around in Bay Lake and Seven Seas Lagoon. This stopped because there’s always a risk of alligators in the water and also the water is not filtered meaning there is a risk of contracting diseases from the water.
Meet Push The Trash Can

PUSH the Trash Can was a talking trash can that used to go around Tomorrowland in Magic Kingdom and talk to guests. PUSH had a 20 year run before his retirement in 2014.
Wear A Costume

Children can still wear costumes to the parks, but adults are not allowed to on a typical day. Adults still can wear costumes if they’re at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. Otherwise, they can’t because it’s confusing for kids to meet a character, then see a guest dressed up as the character.
Sit In The Front Of The Monorail

Guests used to be able to ride in the front of the monorail with the pilot on their way to EPCOT or Magic Kingdom. This was discontinued after an accident happened.
Wake Up Tinker Bell

Each morning one child was chosen to wake up Tinker Bell where she lived in Tinker Bell’s Fairy Treasures, which was a gift shop. A lot of people were showing up try and get chosen. This experience ended in 2010 when the gift shop was changed into Castle Couture.
Smoke In The Parks

Guests used to be able to smoke in designated smoking areas in the theme parks. This was discontinued a few years ago making the parks entirely smoke-free.
Captain Jack Sparrow’s Pirate Tutorial

Kids used to be able to train with Captain Jack Sparrow to learn how to be a pirate. This was something guests could do from 2006 to 2018 at the stage in Adventureland near the Pirates of the Caribbean ride.
Cabana Rentals In Tomorrowland

Magic Kingdom park goers used to be able to rent a cabana in Tomorrowland for a day for up to eight people. It was a nice place to take a break and cool off, but the price tag was hefty. It cost $691 for one day.
The Osborne Family Spectacle Of Dancing Lights

The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights happened each year at Christmas time in Hollywood Studios in the Streets of America. The last year this happened was in 2015. The Streets of America were closed and replaced by Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
Star Wars Weekends

Back before the days of having a whole Star Wars themed land, Disney would have Star Wars weekends. Guests could meet Star Wars characters and eat specialty Star Wars foods and drinks.
Morning Welcome Show

Each morning in Magic Kingdom at the Walt Disney World Railroad station characters would come out and do the Morning Welcome Show and there was a family of the day. This ended in 2017. Now you can see a morning welcome show on the stage of Cinderella’s Castle.
Mickey’s Jammin’ Jungle Parade

Mickey’s Jammin’ Jungle Parade was a parade that happened daily in Animal Kingdom park. It ran from 2001 to 2014. During the Christmas season it turned into Mickey’s Jingle Jungle Parade.
Sorcerers Of The Magic Kingdom

Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom was a game that park goers used to be able to play in the park. They could pick up a stack of magic cards from the Main Street Fire Station. This ended in January 2021.
The American Idol Experience

The American Idol Experience was in Hollywood Studios where you could audition for American Idol and one person each day would get a ticket to really go audition for American Idol. This stopped in 2014 and the area is now where you can see the show For The First Time In Forever: A Frozen Sing-A-Long Celebration.
Honey, I Shrunk The Audience

Honey, I Shrunk The Audience was a show attraction in EPCOT from 1994 to 2010. It was based on the Honey, I Shrunk The Kids movies.
Visit Toontown

Magic Kingdom used to have Mickey’s Toontown Fair, which formerly was Mickey’s Birthdayland and Mickey’s Starland. It opened in 1988 and the land completely closed in 2011 so they could expand Fantasyland.
Go On Rides That Closed

Walt Disney World has had many rides permanently close over the decades it’s been around. Some of them are Splash Mountain, Captain EO, Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride, and Maelstrom. See a full list of Disney World permanently closed rides here.
See Divers With Messages

While eating at Coral Reef Restaurant in EPCOT you could request personalized messages for the divers to show in the dive tank. This ended in 2009. You still might see divers in the dive tank, but they won’t have notes to show you.
