These are all the things to know if you are going to Disneyland in February 2026. Take notes of the things you want to do from this list so you can prioritize them on your trip.
Lunar New Year
Lunar New Year at the Disneyland Resort goes through February 22nd. For this festival Disney celebrates Korean, Vietnamese, and Chinese cultures. There is a new character meet n greet where you can meet red panda Mei from Turning Red at the Pixar Pier band shell. You can also meet Mickey and Minnie in their traditional cultural outfits. Mulan’s New Year Procession is a few times per day. There are a lot of foods that are only available during Lunar New Year at the marketplaces. The Strawberry Milktea Macaron is back along with many new menu items like the Hotteok-Inspired Mickey-shaped Waffles at Schmoozies.
70th Celebration
The Disneyland 70th Celebration will continue for all of February. It goes through August 9th. This celebration includes characters in 70th outfits, 70th decor, 70th inspired foods, merch, and more.
Celebrate Happy Cavalcade Parade
The Celebrate Happy Cavalcade Parade is part of the 70th Celebration. It’s a short parade in Disneyland that features Duffy and ShellieMay. It typically runs twice a day at 1:30pm and 2:45pm. Check the schedule for the exact date you are there in case it’s at a different time.
Paint the Night
Paint the Night is a nighttime parade that Disneyland brought back for the 70th Celebration. It features Sorcerer Mickey, Mack from Cars, Belle, and more. There is no parade on nights of Sweetheart’s Nite. Check the schedule for the day you are there. They typically do the parade at 8:30pm or 8:30 and 10:30pm.
Fireworks
Wondrous Journeys is every night. It has projections on the castle every night. There are also fireworks on the weekends. The time of this show is 7:30pm on nights with Sweetheart’s Nite and 9:30pm on the other nights.
World of Color Happiness
World of Color Happiness is a nighttime show in California Adventure. During Lunar New Year Mulan will be in the pre-show. This is at 9pm on most nights, but is at 8:45pm on February 11th, 18th, and 23rd.
Other Nighttime Entertainment
Other nighttime entertainment at Disneyland in February is Shadows of a Memory: A Skywalker Saga, Fire of the Rising Moons, and Fantasmic. Fantasmic is just on the weekends. Check the daily Disneyland schedule for showtimes.
Sweetheart’s Nite
Disneyland closes at 8 on the nights of Sweethearts Nite. The dates of this event are February 3rd, 5th, 8th, 10th, 12th, and 17th. The party goes from 9:00 PM to 1:00 AM. You can enter the park starting at 6pm on the day you have a ticket for. Some of the characters you can meet during the event are Mickey & Minnie, Mirabel, Luisa, and Isabela from Encanto, Milo Thatch and Kida from Atlantis, Snow White and Dopey from Snow White and Cinderella and Prince Charming.
Ride Closures
Ride closures that are expected to last all month are Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, Grizzly River Run, and It’s A Small World. The Incredicoaster is reopening February 6th. Jungle Cruise is closing February 17th. Jumpin Jellyfish is closing February 23rd. Sailing Ship Columbia is closed on weekdays and open on weekends. Other Closures
Oga’s Cantina is expected to be closed all of February. The walkway between Cars Land and Avengers Campus is closed due to construction on the Avengers Campus expansion. Crowds
Crowds are typically lower for most of February, which is nice. Weekdays always have lower crowds than Saturdays and Sunday. Presidents’ Day weekend is Feb 14-16th. You can expect an increase in crowds this weekend since people have more time off of work and school.
Weather
The weather in February averages highs in the high 60s and lows in the 40s or 50s. Rain is more likely in February than other months. So pack jackets and rain gear. It’s good to buy a poncho before you go and a stroller cover if you have a stroller with you. Always check the weather before heading out on your trip to figure out what to pack.
Celebrate Gospel
Celebrate Gospel is February 20-21 and February 27-28. This will be in downtown Disney this year. There will be performances by Southern California community choirs. Hezekiah Walker will be there on February 21st and Yolanda Adams on February 28th.
Anaheim Ducks Day
Anaheim Ducks Day is February 22nd. Players from the Anaheim Ducks will be there with hockey entertainment, activities, photo ops and more.
