Halloween Time goes all month
The Halloween season will go on all month at Walt Disney World. This includes decor, merch, foods, and more.
The Magic of Disney Animation opens
The Magic of Disney Animation opens in Hollywood Studios on September 14th. It will have Once Upon a Studio, Alice in Wonderland playground, drawing lessons with Olaf, and character meets.
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party
Magic Kingdom will have Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party on September 1, 4, 8, 11, 13, 15, 18, 20, 22, 24, 25, 27 and 29th. Magic Kingdom will close at 6pm on those nights.
Parades
There are two parades going on at Disney World in September. Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade is daily at 2pm. Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away parade is on non-Halloween party nights. Both parades are in Magic Kingdom.
Happily Ever After Fireworks
Magic Kingdom will have Happily Ever After fireworks at 9:30pm on nights without Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.
Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular
Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular fireworks are on nights with the Halloween Party. You must have a ticket to the Halloween party to see the fireworks in the park.
Luminous the Symphony of Us
EPCOT has Luminous the Symphony of Us every night at 9pm.
Hollywood Studios Nighttime Shows
Hollywood Studios has 3 nighttime shows. They have Fantasmic, Wonderful World of Animation, and Disney Movie Magic every night.

September typically has lower crowds than some other months.

Average weather at Disney World in September is lots of rain and humidity, average highs 85-90 degrees, and average lows in the mid to low 70s.
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival
The EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival is going on all month in September. They have special festival foods, entertainment, merch, and more.
Free Water Park Admission Ending
The last day of free water park admission on check-in day for resort guests is September 8th.
Closures
Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress is closed and reopening sometime in 2027. The Walt Disney World Railroad Frontierland Station is closed with no reopening date. The railroad is still running between Main Street, USA and Fantasyland though. Typhoon Lagoon water park will be closing September 9th. La Signature in EPCOT is closed with no reopening date.
