Disneyland and California Adventure are a lot of fun, but they’re also crowded and can feel overwhelming at times. It’s nice to take breaks in slower areas of the parks to rest and recharge a little. These are the best quiet spots in Disneyland.
Snow White’s Grotto
Snow White’s Grotto is a bit of a hidden gem in Fantasyland. It’s to the left of the castle. It’s a nice, water area where the song “I’m Wishing” from the Snow White movie plays. There are statues of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
Redwood Creek Challenge Trail
Redwood Creek Challenge Trail is in California Adventure park. It’s a much quieter area of the parks where kids can run around and do a ropes course, go down slides, meet Chip n Dale, and more. It’s a nice escape from the parks where you kind of feel like you’re out in nature.
Harbor Galley Seating Area
There’s a really nice, quiet seating area around Harbor Galley. There’s seating in front of the restaurant that is very busy and crowded, but if you walk to the right of the restaurant it will take you to a few more tables where you can usually find an open one. After eating or sitting here, keep walking down the path by the Rivers of America and you’ll end in Critter Country.
Silly Symphony Swings Deck
Silly Symphony Swings is a ride in California Adventure. There’s a kind of secret area below the swings that’s really nice and quiet. There are benches and ceiling fans here. It’s nice to sit by the water and feel the breeze a little.
Grizzly Peak Pass
Grizzly Peak Pass is the area that goes around Grizzly Peak. You can walk around here and listen to the water rushing from Grizzly River Run. There are also a lot of benches you can sit on.
Fantasyland Theatre Area
Fantasyland Theatre is tucked back behind most of Fantasyland. There are usually not shows or anything going on, so there are not a lot of people over here. There is some seating and bathrooms that are not busy.
Tom Sawyer Island
Tom Sawyer Island is a quiet hidden gem in Frontierland. You have to take a boat to get out to it, then you can spend time exploring.
Main Street Opera House
The Main Street Opera House is on Main Street, USA in Disneyland. Sometimes they change out the show going on in here.
The Old Motor Boat Dock
The old Motorboat Dock is in Fantasyland behind Edelweiss Snacks. There’s a lot of seating right on the water. Grab a slush with Mickey on top and enjoy this quiet area.
Animation Building
The Animation Building is located in California Adventure. This area is not as quiet as others on this list, but it’s a nice break from the heat or rain and there are fun things to do in here like learn how to draw at Animation Academy, meet Anna and Elsa, and more.
Main Street Cinema
Main Street Cinema is located on Main Street, USA in Disneyland. They play shorts, like Steamboat Willie in here. It’s a good place to take a break in the parks.
