14 Fun Things You Can Do At The Disney World Hotels

There are so many fun things you can do at the Disney World hotels in Florida. You need to stay the hotels to do a few of them, but most of these activities are open to everyone whether you’re staying on-property or not.

Campfire Sing-A-Long

Chip ‘n’ Dale’s Campfire Sing-A-Long is a fun activity every night at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort. You can also purchase s’mores kits to use after the sing-a-long.

Character Dining

A lot of Disney World hotels have restaurants that do character dining. You’ll need to make a reservation before you go. Some of them you can do are Topolino’s Terrace at Disney’s Riviera Resort, Ohana at Disney’s Polynesian Resort, and Chef Mickey’s at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.

Starlight Safari

Starlight Safari is a nighttime safari you can do at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. Guests are given night-vision devices to spot the animals. This costs $75-89 per person.

Horseback Riding

At Tri-Circle-D Ranch you can go horseback riding. This is at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort. You’ll need to book a reservation to do this.

Spa Treatments

You can do spa treatments at some of the Disney World Resort hotels that have spas. They offer massages, facials, and more. Make a reservation ahead of time to ensure you can get in.

Moana Splash Pad

Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort has a Moana Splash Pad for littles ones to play at. This is only accessible for guests of this hotel.

View Disney World Fireworks

There are good viewing spots of the Disney World fireworks from a lot of the Disney World hotels. Some of them are California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort and the beach at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.

Wilderness Back Trail Adventure

Wilderness Back Trail Adventure is done at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort. This is a 2 hour Segway tour around the resort. It costs $90-99 for each person.

Ride A Surrey Bike

You can rent surrey bikes from Disney’s Old Key West Resort, Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside, and Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa and ride them around those properties. They have options for you to rent surrey bikes for 2, 4, or 6 people.

Horse-Drawn Carriage Rides

If you’re looking for something romantic to do, consider doing a horse-drawn carriage ride. You can do this at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside. It’s a 25 minute ride and it costs $65 per carriage. You can fit 4 adults or 2 adults and 3 children in each of the carriages.

Swim In The Pools

The Disney World Resort hotels are known for having amazing pools. Some of the favorites amongst guests are at Disney’s Yacht Club and Beach Club Resort, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney’s Grand Floridian.

Eat At Victoria & Albert’s

Victoria & Albert’s is known as being one of the best, fanciest, and most expensive restaurants in all of Disney World. It’s located at Disney’s Grand Floridian Hotel & Spa.

Go Fishing

You can go fishing at a few different Disney World Resorts including Disney’s Polynesian Resort, Caribbean Beach Resort, Fort Wilderness, Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, and more.

Wagon Rides

Wagon rides are another fun thing you can do at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort. They have horse drawn wagon rides at The Campsites. It is a 25 minute ride that costs $15 per person age 10 and up and $10 for ages 3-9. It’s available on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 6pm to 8:30pm.
