If you have a Disney World trip planned with kids, then it’s good to know what they can and cannot do in the parks before you go. This list has some of the fun things to do in Hollywood Studios with kids. There are not a lot of rides in this park that kids can go on, but there is still plenty to do here.
Disney Jr. Play & Dance!
Disney Jr. Play & Dance is a fun show for little ones to go see. It has Mickey Mouse, Vampirina, Doc McStuffins, and Timon. It’s located in the Animation Courtyard in Hollywood Studios.
Meet Disney Jr. Pals
You can meet Disney Junior characters in Animation Courtyard. Check the My Disney Experience App for times. The characters you can meet here are Vampirina, Doc McStuffins, and Fancy Nancy.
Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway
Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway is a trackless ride that has Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and their friends. This ride is really cute and does not have a height requirement, so anyone can go on it.
Hollywood & Vine
Hollywood & Vine is a restaurant at Echo Lake in Hollywood Studios where you can do character dining. This is available for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The food is buffet style. You’ll meet Minnie Mouse and some of her friends. You’ll need a theme park reservation and a restaurant reservation to eat here.
Meet Olaf
If you have a Frozen loving kid, then take them to meet Olaf, the lovable snowman from the movie. You can meet him at Celebrity Spotlight in Echo Lake. As with all character meets, check the My Disney Experience app for times.
For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration
For The First Time In Forever: A Frozen Sing-A-Long Celebration is a Frozen themed show in Echo Lake in Hollywood Studios. You’ll get to see Frozen characters and sing along with them to the hit songs, like Let It Go.
Meet Pixar Characters
There are a few Pixar characters throughout Hollywood Studios that you can meet. At Pixar Plaza there are meet n greets for Joy from Inside Out, Sulley from Monsters, Inc., Mr. Incredible, Mrs. Incredible, Frozone, and Edna Mode from The Incredibles.
Meet Disney Stars At Red Carpet Dreams
Meet Disney Stars at Red Carpet Dreams is located in Commissary Lane. You can meet Minnie Mouse, Mickey Mouse, and sometimes Sorcerer Mickey from Fantasia.
Beauty and the Beast – Live On Stage
Beauty and the Beast – Live On Stage is a Beauty and the Beast show that is a Broadway style version of the movie with all of the best songs from it. It’s located on Sunset Boulevard.
Meet Toy Story Characters
In Toy Story Land you can meet a few of the Toy Story characters. You’ll see Woody, Jessie the Cowgirl, and Buzz Lightyear. This is something you’ll definitely want to do if you have kids who love Toy Story.
Toy Story Mania!
Toy Story Mania is a ride in Toy Story Land. It does not have a height requirement, so kids of all heights and ages can go on this ride. It’s a 3D ride where you aim at targets and collect points.
Alien Swirling Saucers
Alien Swirling Saucers is a spinning ride in Toy Story Land. The minimum height requirement to go on this ride is 32″ tall, so this is not a ride that babies can go on with you.
Slinky Dog Dash
Slinky Dog Dash is a really cute Toy Story themed roller coaster in Toy Story Land in Hollywood Studios. The minimum height requirement for this ride is 38″ tall, so make sure your kids are tall enough before trying to take them on it.
Vacation Fun – An Original Animated Short with Mickey & Minnie
Vacation Fun – An Original Animated Short with Mickey & Minnie is a show you can go watch on a screen in a theater. This is a great activity for when it is really hot or raining so you can be inside for a little bit. It’s located in Echo Lake.
