Are you heading to Disneyland in November?
It’s such a fun time to go to Disneyland since the start of the Christmas celebration starts on November 15th. You’ll likely see some Christmas decor around the park and on the castle in the beginning of November too.
The start of the holiday season there means lots of fun Christmas themed treats, a big Christmas tree on Main Street, holiday themed rides (like Haunted Mansion and it’s a small world), and so much more Christmas fun!
You’ll want to know about some ride closures before your trip though, so that’s where we come in.
We have the full list of Disneyland ride closures for November 2024.
Dumbo The Flying Elephant

This Fantasyland ride is one of our family’s favorite rides in Disneyland!
The attraction closed on October 1, 2024 for refurbishment. There is not currently a reopening date.
It could open in November, but since it does not have a reopening date yet, we’ve included it on this list.
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad

Disneyland just recently announced that Big Thunder Mountain Railroad will be closing on November 18th.
This Frontierland ride is closing for a refurbishment and it is unknown when it will reopen.
Disneyland Railroad

The Disneyland Railroad is currently closed for refurbishment. Disneyland has not given an opening date yet.
it’s a small world

It’s a small world closed on September 16 and will reopen on November 15 after a 2 month long refurbishment.
When it opens in November it will have its holiday overlay for Christmas.
Just a head up, it will close again in January to change it back to not having the Christmas overlay.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, which used to be Splash Mountain, has been closed for over a year.
It will have its grand opening on November 15th, so it will only be closed for the first half of November.
It will most likely open with a virtual queue that will be hard to get times for since it will be super popular when it first opens.
