These are the forgotten Disneyland attractions that you will never ride again. They closed a long time ago and most people either don’t know about them or forget about them. They are all in Disneyland park, none of them are in California Adventure park.
The Skyway
The Skyway was a gondola attraction that went between Tomorrowland and Fantasyland. It was built because guests didn’t like how much walking they had to do at Disneyland. It opened in 1956 and closed in 1994 due to safety concerns.
The PeopleMover
The PeopleMover was an attraction in Tomorrowland in Disneyland. It opened in 1967 and closed permanently in 1995. You can still see the old track from it above you when you are in Tomorrowland. This ride can still be found in Magic Kingdom in Disney World.
Rainbow Caverns Mine Train
Rainbow Caverns Mine Train was an attraction in Frontierland that opened in 1956. It went through several changes over the next couple of decades, then permanently closed and later became the ride we know and love today, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.
Rocket To The Moon
Rocket to the Moon was an attraction in Tomorrowland. It opened in 1955, the year Disneyland opened, then it closed in 1966. It was replaced by Flight to the Moon, which opened in 1967.
Country Bear Jamboree
Country Bear Jamboree was a lively show in Disneyland. Disney World got this attraction in 1971, then it came to Disneyland a year later in 1972. It saw some changes over the year, then closed permanently in 2001 and the area it was in was changed to the ride The Many Attractions of Winnie the Pooh.
Rocket Rods
Rocket Rods was in Tomorrowland after the PeopleMover. It took over the track from the PeopleMover attraction. This ride was short lived from May 1998 to April 2001.
Adventure Thru Inner Space
Adventure Thru Inner Space was a dark ride in Tomorrowland in Disneyland. It opened in 1967 and closed in 1985. This ride also closed permanently in Disney World. Read about Disney World permanently closed attractions here.
Tomorrowland Boats
The Tomorrowland Boats opened when Disneyland did in July 1955 and they closed soon after in January 1956. The area this ride was in is now where Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage is.
The Jolly Trolley
The Jolly Trolley ran in Mickey’s Toontown from January 1993 to December 2003. It wasn’t an easy attraction to operate since guests walking around Toontown were in the way and it couldn’t hold very many people on it.
Flying Saucers
Flying Saucers is another forgotten Disneyland attraction that was located in Tomorrowland. It was open from August 6, 1961 to September 5, 1966. It had a lot of problems because it was expensive to run, it needed a lot of maintenance, and only one person could be in a ride vehicle at a time.
