These are the forgotten Disney World attractions that you’ll never get to ride again. They are in Disney World’s theme parks and have permanently closed since their openings. Many were loved by fans, but closed due to various reasons.
The Skyway
The Skyway was a popular gondola style attraction in Magic Kingdom in Disney World. It was there from 1971 to 1999 and it took guests between Tomorrowland and Fantasyland in the park.
Adventure Thru Inner Space
Adventure Thru Inner Space operated from August 1967 to September 1985. This permanently closed ride was in Tomorrowland in Magic Kingdom park.
Studio Backlot Tour
The Studio Backlot tour was a very loved attraction in Hollywood Studios (MGM Studios when it opened). This attraction was there from 1989 to 2014 when it closed for good. Toy Story Land is now where this attraction used to be.
Dreamflight
Tomorrowland in Magic Kingdom used to have a ride called Dreamflight. It opened on June 23, 1989 and closed up on January 5, 1998 for good.
Extraterrorestrial Alien Encounter
Extraterrorestrial Alien Encounter was in Tomorrowland in Magic Kingdom. It was a theater attraction that was there from June 20, 1995 until it closed on October 12, 2003.
World of Motion
EPCOT had an attraction about vehicles called World of Motion. It was open from 1982 to 1996 when it closed for the area to become Test Track, which is still there today.
Horizons
EPCOT used to have a dark ride attraction called Horizons that was about future technologies. It was in EPCOT from October 1, 1983 until it closed on January 9, 1999.
Body Wars
There was a motion simulator attraction in the Wonders of Life Pavilion in EPCOT called Body Wars. It was there from October 19, 1989 to January 1, 2007. Read about more permanently closed Disney World attractions here.
Honey I Shrunk the Audience
EPCOT used to have an attraction called Honey I Shrunk The Audience based on the movie Honey I Shrunk The Kids. It was open from November 1994 to 2010, then was replaced by Captain EO with Michael Jackson.
Primeval Whirl
DinoLand USA in Animal Kingdom used to have a mouse trap roller coaster called Primeval Whirl. This ride was open from March 31, 2002 to on March 13, 2020.
