Storybook Land Canal Boats
Storybook Land Canal Boats is a classic Fantasyland attraction in Disneyland. It closed mid-July for maintenance and has not opened again yet.
Casey Jr. Circus Train
Casey Jr. Circus Train is in Fantasyland and goes around the same area of miniature fairytale setups as Storybook Land Canal Boats. It closed at the end of July and has yet to reopen.
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is a thrilling and classic roller coaster in Frontierland in Disneyland. It closed at the beginning of September for maintenance and it is unknown when exactly the ride will reopen.
Mickey’s Philharmagic
Mickey’s Philharmagic is going to be closing on October 6th and Disney has not announced the reopening date yet. This is a show featuring Donald Duck that is in Hollywood Land in California Adventure.
Possibly It’s A Small World
It’s A Small World usually closes sometime in the last half of October for the ride to change to It’s A Small World Holiday where it has the Christmas overlay. A date for this closure hasn’t been announced yet. See the full list of closures at Disneyland in October here.
Upcoming Closures
Upcoming closures in the next few months are Haunted Mansion Holiday closing in January to change back to the classic version of the ride, It’s A Small World will likely close in January to change back to the classic version, and Grizzly River Run usually closes in the winter for maintenance.
Upcoming Permanent Closure
Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue is going to permanently close in the beginning of 2026, so make sure to ride it again before it does. This closure comes so California Adventure park can put an Avatar land in this area. Read about the new rides coming to Disneyland here.
