If you’re going to Disneyland in October, you’ll want to plan a few things before going and know what will be going on in the parks while you’re there.
You’re going to have so much fun seeing it all decorated for Halloween, going on the spooky Haunted Mansion Holiday attraction, eating Halloween treats, and seeing the characters in Halloween costumes and outfits.
Something to be aware of though, is what rides will be closed so you can manage your expectations and not get too excited about riding attractions that will be unavailable.
We have the full list of Disneyland ride closures in October 2024. Take notes!
Dumbo The Flying Elephant
This Fantasyland ride is one of my favorites! It’s a simple ride that makes you feel carefree and my kids love it.
This ride will be closing October 1, 2024. There is not currently a reopening date.
Disneyland Railroad
The Disneyland Railroad is currently closed for refurbishment and has been for a little while now.
There is no opening date as of right now. Hopefully Disneyland will give us one soon.
Disneyland Monorail
The Disneyland Monorail is closed for refurbishment currently. It does not have an opening date.
It’s a small world
It’s a small world will be closed September 16 through November 15 for a 2 month long refurbishment.
It will open up ready for Christmas with its holiday overlay.
Jungle Cruise
The popular Jungle Cruise ride is closing September 16 and will be ready to reopen October 18th.
Guests who have been recently have reported a lot of features that are not working on the attraction, so Disneyland will most likely be fixing those.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, formerly Splash Mountain, has been closed for over a year. It will be opening November 15th.
This means it will be closed for the full month of October.
Have a fun trip to the happiest place on earth this October!
