These are all of the closures at Disneyland from August 18th through August 24th. It’s good to know about these and plan your trip accordingly. Unfortunately, one of the biggest rides in California Adventure is going to closure during this week and there are several other closures too.
Radiator Springs Racers
Radiator Springs Racers is the big California Adventure ride closing for refurbishment. It is going to close on August 18th and it is unknown when this attraction will open again. Some people are speculating that this closure will last for at least a couple of months. This ride is so cute and thrilling. It is located in Cars Land.
Haunted Mansion Holiday
Haunted Mansion closed on August 9th to change it to Haunted Mansion Holiday where it has the Nightmare Before Christmas overlay for the rest of the year. Haunted Mansion Holiday is reopening on August 22nnd and the normal version of Haunted Mansion is expected to come back in January 2026.
Casey Jr. Circus Train
Casey Jr. Circus Train is a really cute and fun train ride in Fantasyland in Disneyland. It closed at the end of July for maintenance and it is unknown when the ride will open again.
Storybook Land Canal Boats
Storybook Land Canal Boats is a cute and whimsical boat ride in Fantasyland in Disneyland. It closed in July 2025 for maintenance and a reopening date has not yet been announced. Hopefully this closure does not last much longer.
Star Tours – The Adventures Continue
Star Tours – The Adventures Continue will be closed next week while Disney finishes the work they are doing on the ride. It is set to reopen on September 5th. This is a Star Wars themed attraction in Tomorrowland in Disneyland.
Walkway Between Avengers Campus and Cars Land
The walkway that takes guests quickly from Cars Land to Avengers Campus is blocked off and closed due to construction. Disney is doing a big expansion on Avengers Campus and adding two new rides to the land. Read about the new rides coming to Disneyland here.
Napa Rose
Napa Rose is a really nice restaurant in The Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. It is currently closed and expected to reopen in the fall of 2025.
Upcoming Closures
Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Pirates Lair on Tom Sawyer Island, and Mark Twain Riverboat will each close for a few days in September and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is closing September 2nd for an unknown period of time. Read all about the September Disneyland closures here.
