The Magic of Disney Animation opens

The Magic of Disney Animation in Hollywood Studios opens September 14th. It will have an Alice in Wonderland playground, drawing lessons with Olaf, character meets, and Once Upon A Studio.
Halloween Time goes all month

Halloween time goes all month at the Walt Disney World Resort with decor on Main Street, USA, Halloween foods, merch, and more.
Free Water Park Admission Ends

Free Water Park admission for resort guests is ending. The last day to do this is September 8th.
Only One Water Park Open

Both water parks will be open September 1st through 8th, then starting on September 9th Typhoon Lagoon is closing for seasonal maintenance. Blizzard Beach will remain open though.
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is in Magic Kingdom on these dates- September 1, 4, 8, 11, 13, 15, 18, 20, 22, 24, 25, 27 and 29. Magic Kingdom will close at 6pm on those nights. This is something you need a separate ticket for.
Happily Ever After won’t be every night

Happily Ever After won’t be every night in Magic Kingdom. It’s at 10pm on nights without Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.
Lower Crowds

You can expect to see lower crowds in September since kids are back in school.
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival

The EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival will be going for the entire month of September. This is included with admission to EPCOT.
Closures

Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress is closed and should reopen sometime in 2027. The Walt Disney World Railroad Frontierland Station is closed and does not have a reopening date. Typhoon Lagoon is closing September 9th. La Signature in EPCOT does not have a reopening date yet.
