These are the changes coming to Walt Disney World in February 2026. This includes closures, festivals, and more going on that you will want to be aware of.
EPCOT Festival of the Arts Will End

The EPCOT International Festival of the Arts is currently going and will end in February. The last day to experience this festival is February 23rd.
Castle Repainting

Cinderella Castle is going to be repainted and it will start any day. Cranes and other painting equipment will be visible in the mornings and put away by noon each day. Starting on January 28th there will be some small adjustments to the shows Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire, Let the Magic Begin, and Happily Ever After fireworks.
Ride Closures

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin, and the Frontierland station of the Walt Disney World Railroad will be closed all month. Frozen Ever After will reopen sometime in February. Dinosaur will permanently close on February 2nd. Read dates and more info about the closures here.
Other Closures

Animation Courtyard is closed and changing a lot. All of DinoLand USA will permanently close on February 2nd. The Fjording Shop is closed. Blizzard Beach will reopen on February 15th. Typhoon Lagoon will close on February 15th.
New Animatronics on Frozen Ever After

They are changing the animatronics on Frozen Ever After. That is why the ride will close for a bit. Right now they have projection faces on them, but Disney is changing them to be more like other animatronics they have done and they will look like the Frozen animatronics at Hong Kong.
Last Month for Rock n Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith

Rock n Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith is closing permanently on March 2, 2026, so February is the last full month to go on this attraction. They are changing it to Rock n Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets. Read about the changes and more ride changes here.
