These are all of the big changes at The Disneyland Resort in October 2025 that you will need to know about before going on your vacation there. It’s good to know about these things to manage expectations and plan your trip.
Halloween is Ending
The Halloween season is ending when October ends. The last day to experience it is Friday October 31st, Halloween day. After this you will start to see Halloween decor come down.
Oogie Boogie Bash is Ending
Oogie Boogie Bash will be in California Adventure on October 2, 5, 7, 9, 12, 14, 16, 19, 21, 23, 26, 28, and 31st. It is ending on Halloween day, October 31st.
Higher Crowds
You can expect to see higher crowds in October than September had. October always has higher crowds due to it being Halloween month, fall break, and better weather.
Fall Break
Fall break is typically a few days or up to a week for many schools in America. This means that more people will go to Disneyland on their vacations during October since they will not be in school.
Ride Closures
Ride closures for October include Storybook Land Canal Boats, Casey Jr. Circus Train, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and It’s A Small World. Read here for dates and more info on the closures.
Other Closures
Other closures this month include Mickey’s Philharmagic, Napa Rose, and the walkway between Cars Land and Avengers Campus. The walkway is closed dur to construction on the Avengers Campus expansion. Read about the expansion and new rides here.
Christmas Decor Popping Up
In years past we have seen Christmas decor, like the snow on Sleeping Beauty’s Castle, start showing up at the end of October. Some people wish they would wait until after Halloween, but they have a lot of decor to get up for the Christmas season which will start on November 14th.
