The Disneyland Resort has plans of adding new rides over the next several years, plus some reimaginings. These are the new rides coming to Disneyland and California Adventure that have been announced.
Avengers Infinity Defense
Avengers Campus in California Adventure park is expanding and doubling in size. It will have two new rides in it. One of them is Avengers Infinity Defense. On this ride you will assemble the Avengers and battle King Thanos. It is expected to open in 2028.
Stark Flight Lab
The second new attraction coming to Avengers Campus is Stark Flight Lab. It is also supposed to open in 2028. The ride vehicles are gyro kinetic pods that seat two people in them. Riders will go through a series of tests done by Tony Stark.
Coco Ride
California Adventure park is also getting a new Coco themed boat ride attraction. It will feature Miguel, Hector, Dante, and more characters. The ride will take you through Miguel’s memories from when he visited the Land of the Dead. There is no word yet on an opening date. It will not have a height requirement.
Avatar Boat Ride
California Adventure park is also getting a whole Avatar themed land near Hollywood Land. The Monsters, Inc. ride will permanently close to make this happen. The land will feature an Avatar boat ride. Construction has not even started, so this is a ways out from opening.
Tomorrowland Reimagining
Disneyland’s Tomorrowland is getting reimagined sometime in the next few years. Very few details have been given surrounding this. Disney has said they want to honor the legacy of what Tomorrowland used to be. They have also said there will be new attractions, but it is unknown what those would be.
DisneylandForward
Disneyland Resort is expanding with DisneylandForward. There is nothing else that is set in stone, but with DisneylandForward there is the possibility for new attractions, lands, and even theme parks one day.
